Flash Fiction #16

Thanks for stopping. Another picture…another 100 words.

Carla fell on the bed in an exhausted heap. She doubted she’d make it another day in this heat. Visions of Adam filled her mind making fire pool between her legs. The phone rang startling her from her discontent.

“Hello”

“Are you naked yet?”

“Oh, Adam, pretty much. I’m laying her thinking of you in my underwear. It’s so hot.”

“Let me help, sweetheart. Get some ice.”

He directed her to drag a cube of ice from her shoulders down to between her breasts. Her nipples stung with intensifying need. Puddles flowed drowning her in the rising tides of ecstasy.

Tantalizing Tuesday #1

Tuesdays aren’t for flashing…they’re for teasing. The rules of TT: I get to select the picture and I get 200 words to tease. Just like on Fridays, I’m joined by several very talented writers, so don’t miss the links below.

Carey met him a year ago. It was John who bumped into her that day spilling water down her shirt. She giggled replaying their conversation once more in her head.

“It’s not that bad”

“What? You can see everything.”

“Yeah.” He patted her chest with a mass of napkins.

The day melted away as they walked the beach talking and ended with their bodies exploding together on the surf.

She moved to the beach the next day hoping to find him, but never found a clue. She built herself a pleasant life here, but still no John. She sat on the bench working up the courage to move on, they only had a day after all. Tears pressed against her lids. The rain clouds opened and encouraged the release of freighting emotions.

She got up and shuffled toward her car.

“Carey!”

She turned and saw what she’d been waiting for. A quake and a half broke through her chest and pushed her legs forward. She leapt into his arms and he caught her. His body pressed deliciously into hers. He claimed her mouth and his tongue stroked hers eliciting her need.

“You’ve been right here, my sweet?”

“Waiting for you”

Hope you enjoyed my tease today!! We’ll be seeing more of these two in the weeks ahead. Don’t forget to follow the link to get to the other TT posts. Tantalizing Tuesday. Or click away on the links below.

Flash Fiction #15

Thanks for stopping. Another picture…another 100 words.

Anne could count on one had the number of times she has cried. Today was number 5. She believed she was sturdy, made from hard circumstances, and capable of handling anything thrown at her. This first week with Joseph sparked a new light. He cracked her open sometime yesterday and now her submission rolled out in effortless waves.

It was a simple request.

“Let me hold you.”

For the first time she heard the truth behind his words, the truth so obvious in his eyes and his touch. She collapsed in his embrace and let him in, into her heart.

Flash Fiction #14

Thanks for stopping. Another picture…another 100 words.

Behind her eyelids she felt the rising sun, not even daylight would get her to move. For years she dreamed of a moment like this. John was either dating someone else or she was living away from home. His hands roamed over her backside in a caress that awoke her desires. One night wouldn’t be enough.

Two nights ago, on a drunken whim, she let her feelings slip. She thought she dreamed his response.

“Do you know how long I’ve loved you, my sweet, Emily?”

After last night, there was no longer any question. He loved her, all of her.

He claimed her like he had the right. Sara was not likely to take his advances without a hitch. Any moment now she would push him away.

Bret continued to dominate her mouth. His fingers tugged at her hair and clamped onto her jaw. A tingle started in her mind and spread over her body while his mouth continued to plunder her own. His control held her firm, held her to him.

A corner of her brain reminded her of all the damn reasons she should pull away. Her shoulders tensed, but she couldn’t do it.

She gave into him.

Flash Fiction #12

Thanks for stopping. Another picture…another 100 words.

Not every bird brought frightening news, but the one piece she waited for had not yet arrived. Why hadn’t she given him a chance before the war? Oh, Melik. It took the death of many to rock her awake. Pain shivered through her limbs and she crashed to the ground. She rubbed her hands until the skin felt raw, matching her thoughts.

It was coming.

Just over the horizon, she felt the bird approaching. Her head fell into her hands and she yanked at her hair. Would she have one more chance? Just one more is all she asked.

Yes!

Flash Fiction #11

Thanks for stopping. Another picture…another 100 words.

Workouts usually cleared Sonya’s cluttered mind of garbage, but today it made it worse. How was she going to decide between the two men? One had the power and promise to save her people and her lands. The other had untapped potential and pulled at more than her heart. She didn’t dare risk everything her family died for. What could she possibly get back in return?

Love

Nonsense. It was known throughout the lands, only the weak choose love. A fat ugly tear rolled down her cheek and splashed on the table. Somehow she knew, love required more than strength.

“You will tell me where she is.”

“Never”

“Don’t be so sure. Not many are capable of withstanding my techniques.” She dragged the frozen cube along his throat inflaming the part of him that would never be human.

“You don’t know me anymore. You don’t know what Leah and I share. You sent me back here, you knew the risks.” When she didn’t reply he continued. “I love her.”

“Foolishness. Even if what you say is true, Leah wouldn’t love you.” She stepped back and watched his body flourish as he thought of her. “No, it can’t be.”

“It can.”
