Sara decided she’d wait five more minutes, if Dan hadn’t come out by then she’d leave her hiding spot.  She felt like a cretin sitting in the shadows of his dorm room and there was something entirely creepy about this side of his building. Although she knew Dan would make up for it with his talented fingers, she began to wonder if their arrangement was worth it. Who was she kidding, when he got her rolling into her second orgasm, this disturbing evening would be long forgotten.

A chill went up her spine, she sensed a presence behind her.

“Dan?”

Six Sentence Sunday #49 The Right Thing

Last Week I gave you the opening 6 from my latest WIP, In the Blind (working title), the story of Jane and Rob. The current logline: When a head hunter finds her dream lover in a night of pitch black unrestrained passion, she fears she’ll never find him again. Fate steps in and throws the two together, but they might never discover the truth and stay in the blind.

I’ll continue with this story through the end of Six Sunday. This week I’ve skipped just a couple of paragraphs. The ladies are about to be escorted one by one into their rooms for the evening.

The room filled with screams from all the ladies as they danced into line, while Jane wondered, for the tenth time that day, if she was doing the right thing. Was this the best place for her to kiss her sexual slump goodbye? Anne, her best friend from forever, swore by the club. Jane didn’t want to take all the emotion out of the act, but she needed to get out of her own way and remember how freeing release could be. It had been months since her last orgasm. Of course, having her ex-boyfriend tell her she was a sexual deviant and unattractive hadn’t done her any favors.

Hope you enjoyed my six today. Remember, I’m the newbie, please share your advice. Thanks for stopping by today. Don’t forget to check out the other Six Sunday authors.Try to find a new favorite 6 today.

ROW80 check-in #45 Something is Working

Each round I take what works and leave the rest behind. Through the four rounds last year I discovered, although I can write in the afternoon, I make the most progress in the morning, before I dive into evil day job monotony. I’m thankful I have a job and family that allow me this kind of flexibility. Over each round of 80-days I’ve tweaked my morning routine and this round is no different.

I’ve shifted my schedule once again and made time for reading my writing craft book before I dive into writing for the day. Read on to see how it worked out.

The Goals – week-1 results

  • Spend at least 1-hour a day with my characters- done
  • Daily progress in writing craft, word count, editing, and/or plotting- I wrote everyday this week and added 3,255 words. A little everyday, not bad for my first week back at it. The real win here is that I read from my current craft book a little bit everyday. Woot! I didn’t spend a lot of time each day, but I did make steady progress. I hope to finish this book next week, now that I’m almost half way through it, and get back to my Margie packet.
  • Workout a minimum of three times a week and round it out with plenty of water, sleep and my calorie limit- done, huge improvement over the last two  weeks
  • Daily Nia study (i.e. studying the song/movement structure)- I didn’t hit this everyday, but I did get two-days in. I need to fine tune my schedule to give this goal a fighting chance.
  • Stay on top of my co-op preschool Treasurer responsibilities- crazy busy week  for this goal, but I finished all my reports and provided the numbers our parent population needed to approve a new class for this coming fall. Yeah!  I wish I could say next week will be better, but nope, the next several weeks will be ugly. I’ll need to keep this in mind as I plan out my days.
  • Organize something in the house each week- I made significant progress this week. I organized the front closet and one junk drawer in the kitchen, that leaves one more junk drawer to go…in the kitchen 😉

I feel like I made significant forward movement this week and that makes me very happy. I’m ready to take on week 2, where once again, I’ll keep what works and leave the rest behind. Here we go.

But, before you go, check out what you might have missed here this week:

Six Sentence Sunday #48 In the Blind

It’s a new year and time for something fresh and new. I’ll give you  a taste of my newest WIP in these last weeks of Six Sunday.

In the Blind (working title) is the story of Jane and Rob. I have a working logline too: When a head hunter finds her dream lover in a night of pitch black unrestrained passion, she fears she’ll never find him again. Fate steps in and throws the two together, but they might never discover the truth and stay in the blind.

Hope I’ve got you intrigued. Here’s the first 6.

The room was quiet except for the sounds of a dozen women taking off their clothes. Jane slid the final button on her blouse through the hole and enjoyed the slip of the silky fabric as it caressed her shoulders. The last worry from work and botched relationships slide away with the fabric to the bright white floor.

Tonight she’d let go like Adam never allowed her to. Over the last few months, she’d dated several nice guys, but each time they made a move, she’d flinched. She was done thinking her needs were dirty, done thinking she was dirty.

Hope you enjoyed my six today. Remember, I’m the newbie, please share your advice. Thanks for stopping by today. Don’t forget to check out the other Six Sunday authors.Try to find a new favorite 6 today.

ROW80 Round 1 2013 A New Routine

This is my second time in Round 1. I started my ROW80 journey a year ago with one goal, a time commitment. I asked for one hour of everyday and soon that request became routine. Now, I want to see what else I can make a habit. It’s so easy for a day to fly away never to been heard from again, it happens to me over and over.

For the last couple of rounds of 80-days I’ve seen my  time commitments to my Nia studies and writing craft dwindle and I no longer feel the forward movement. My efforts with these two seem to affect all my other goals. Now is the time for serious action. Now, at the beginning of a new year. I will attempt change. I’ve made changes to my routine over the last few years, I know I can do it. The evil day job seems to be under control again. Now is the time to seize the day.

Work hard and play later is my pledge. Craft first, write second.

What do I want this round? Regardless of the activity, I want to see progress every day. Everyday I will make time for the things I love. Everyday I will enjoy life, I will write…or edit, or plot.

The Goals

  • Spend at least 1-hour a day with my characters
  • Daily progress in writing craft, word count, editing, and/or plotting
  • Workout a minimum of three times a week and round it out with plenty of water, sleep and my calorie limit
  • Daily Nia study (i.e. studying the song/movement structure)
  • Stay on top of my co-op preschool Treasurer responsibilities
  • Organize something in the house each week

Here’s to a fabulous round of 80-days.

“Jerry, we’ve got to get this presentation done. What are you doing on the floor?” Katie swiped through the slides they had so far. “We’re missing the slide with the pink panties, I thought you wanted that one too?” She looked down to find him staring up her skirt.

“I’ve changed my mind, I want red instead.”

“Jerry.”

“What, come on, you’re standing right over me, how can I not look?”

She inched her skirt up a little higher. “You like the red ones?”

“Well, take them off. I need a closer look.”

“Are we still talking about the panties?”

Six Sentence Sunday #47 A Punishment

Happy Holidays, everyone. I hope you get time to tell those you love how you feel and I hope you get to see them and hug them before the end of the year. I hope 2012 ends on a happy note for you and carries you into your best year ever.

Thank you for hanging with me this year, it’s been a blast.

The year isn’t over yet. Happy Six Sunday and thanks for visiting this week. I have another 6 from my latest Novella BDSM WIP. It’s a sequel to the WIP I shared the first many months of 2012. Last Week: After Simon and Janna shared a scene together, Simon is taken aback when he learns of Janna’s deceit. The pair are thrown back together when Janna lands a new job. Simon might not be happy to see her, but she’s his new Project Manager. Simon refused to accept her apology, but has just stopped her from leaving his office. After their bodies make contact, Simon leaves her hanging. This Week: I’m taking you to pretty much where I left you last week. Janna has just suggested a punishment, after all, she’s been bad. Simon likes the idea, oh yeah, it’s obvious 😉 Just before this six he asks her to confirm the punishment. The first line is Janna’s. Can you guess what she’s getting for Christmas?

“If that’s what you think I deserve, Sir.” She held her breath waiting for his answer. She needed this, she wanted this from him, would he accept?

He sauntered back to her, reached past her and locked the door. “Remove the skirt.” He sat in one of his guest chairs and patted his lap. “I’m waiting.”

Oh boy, that Dom is ready to dish it out. It’s going to be a spanking good Christmas for Janna and Simon. Maybe now they’ll be able to move forward.

Hope you enjoyed my six today, thank you for stopping by, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! Don’t forget to check out the other Six Sunday authors.Try to find a new favorite 6 today.

See you next year…

Six Sentence Sunday #46 The Hip Swirl

With a heavy heart, I give you a distraction.

This Week: I’m taking you to pretty much where I left you last week. Simon has Janna held prisoner at his office door.

Her hips arched back to rub against his hardness. She needed more, her hips swirled over him and he pressed her against the door. A moan escaped her and then he was gone. She remained plastered against the door, afraid to move, not wanting to admit the moment was over. She peered over her shoulder and found him pacing the back corner of his office.

He couldn’t have gotten any further away.

Urgh, so close. Wish I could give you more. I know a few of you would enjoy the idea Jenna has for getting them past this hurdle. I’m thinking of giving you one more 6 from this story before the year ends. Are you in?

Hope you enjoyed my six today. Thank you for stopping by and spending a bit of your day with me!! I’d like to know what you really think of my 6. I need the advice, I’m a newbie and have much to learn. Don’t forget to check out the other Six Sunday authors.Try to find a new favorite 6 today. happy hunting!

ROW80 check-in #44 The End and a Beginning

Over the last couple of days I keep finding myself stopping mid-thought or mid-action with my emotions filling me and stopping me cold. In that moment, I feel powerless except in my ability to send support and strength through thought and prayer. There are other things we can do. I for one will be looking for other ways to support the families of Newtown and until then, I will hug my own family and make sure they know I love them.

That conversation puts my goal list in perspective, but I still want to see them done and I’m not giving up. I’ll be back for another round of 80-days in January, there is still much to do. Now, let’s see how I’ve finished this forth round of the year.

The Goals – week-11 results

  • Spend at least 1-hour a day with my characters- done. I love this goal, so glad I made it a habit this year. It keeps my characters close and my creative energy flowing.
  • Weekly progress in word count, editing, and/or plotting- done. It may surprise you that I didn’t edit this week. Nope, not me, I wrote. I started something new and got just over the 2k mark, not much but it’s a start, and I’m looking forward to writing more this week.
  • Finish reading current craft book- This goal was sadly ignored this round. I need to find a way to make this a priority in my WEEKLY schedule.
  • Workout a minimum of three times a week and round it out with plenty of water, sleep and my calorie limit- done.
  • Study one of the Nia 52-moves each week- Balance Finger. Standing on one leg, challenge your balance and use your hands in space for support. With your palms facing down, press your middle finger – the power finger – down towards the earth, keeping your other fingers extended straight out. Benefits: practicing the Balance Finger integrates the upper body with the lower body and directs energy through the center of your palm to the center of the body.
  • Finish the Nia Sanjana-routine bars and start the Nia Opal-routine bars (i.e. studying the song/movement structure)- are you ready for a surprise? I finished this goal. Not only did I finish the Sanjana bars, but I started the Opal bars. Wahoo!!
  • Stay on top of my co-op preschool Treasurer responsibilities- done. No meetings, just a couple of bills. But I get to handle tuition payments this coming week. Joy. Always love trying to fit one more big thing into a busy week.
  • Organize something in the house each week-  last week I talked about the sad state of my writing space, my dinning room table. Last Sunday, I looked around and spotted an over stuffed bookcase in my front room, the adjoining room. You have one of these bookcases, right? The ones where each row is double or triple stacked with books. I went through the case and found books to donate and all the unread books which I’ve moved to a different spot. I cleared a whole shelf and now I have all the kids crayons, books etc on that shelf. Love the simple and free solutions, but I’m not done yet. My writing space needs more help, but this is a great start.

Hope you all have a fabulous week and get to hug the ones you love. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year too. Before you go, be sure to check out my posts from this past week, some long waited for books and a review. It was a great week here at casa Maylee.

Six Sentence Sunday #45 He Said Wait

Happy Six Sunday and thanks for visiting this week. I have another 6 from my latest Novella BDSM WIP. It’s a sequel to the WIP I shared the first many months of 2012. Last Week: After Simon and Janna shared a scene together, Simon is taken aback when he learns of Janna’s deceit. The pair are thrown back together when Janna lands a new job. Simon might not be happy to see her, but she’s his new Project Manager. This Week: I’ve skipped past the end of last week’s scene. Janna has just entered Simon’s office, apologized, and asked for a restart with him. He wasn’t too kind in his response. All the changes might be catching up with our dear Janna.

“Well, I guess that’s it then.” She turned and walked dejectedly to the door.

“Wait…shit.”

Tears welled up and threatened to escape, she quickened her pace. She got her hand on the door knob and his hand landed on the door next to her face.

“I said, wait.”

So, what do you think? Is Simon going to give our Janna another chance? Come back next week and I’ll give you 6 more.

Hope you enjoyed my six today, thank you for stopping by!! I’d like to know what you really think of my 6. I need the advice, I’m a newbie and have much to learn. Don’t forget to check out the other Six Sunday authors.Try to find a new favorite 6 today. happy hunting!
