Weekend Writing Warriors – A Blocked Path

AAA-WWW

Welcome friends new and old. I’m going to give you a couple more posts from the WIP I’ve been sharing before I move onto something new.

In the Blind (working title), and you can see the past posts from this WIP here. The Logline: When a head hunter finds her dream lover in a night of pitch black unrestrained passion, she fears she’ll never find him again. Fate steps in and throws the two together, but they might never discover the truth and stay in the blind.

Over the past few weeks I’ve shared Jane’s experience at Club Blind and her business opportunity that put her in touch with Rob. Last Post I brought Jane and Rob together to discuss a job opportunity that has the potential to lift or sink both of their careers. In this week’s post, Jane has presented Rob with the job description. He’s impressed until he learns where he’d be working.

“We can go over there right now. He’s waiting for us.” She got up, practically bouncing on her toes. “He just started looking yesterday. You’ll be his first interview.”

“No, I don’t think so. This won’t work.”

She stopped and turned around, but swallowed her disappointment as she took in his hunched posture and stony expression.

Oh boy. This job might not be a good fit for Rob. What’s a girl to do? Jane’s putting her career and love on the line. <If you want, you can Tweet That>  It’s time for Jane to choose. Will she push for her career and risk losing her chance with Rob?  Come back next week and I’ll give you another clue.

Hope you enjoyed my eight today. Thank you so much for visiting me, it means a lot to me that you took the time to visit my little place on the web. Don’t forget to check out the other Weekend Warriorsand Saturday Spankings too.

Flash Fiction #39 A Hard Climb

Thanks for stopping. Another picture…another 100 words.

The sting radiating from Shannon’s new blister threatened her goal, but she wanted to keep going. Her mission was to finish this hike on this day. She knew she could do it.

She’d even lost sight of her sexy new friend. Watching his firm back side had kept her at a brisk pace most of the morning. A rushing rumble rang out and the surrounding forest fell silent.

She pulled on everything she had left and willed her legs into the final climb. The falls came into view, washed away her sorrows, and filled her with peace.

“You made it.”

Weekend Writing Warriors – Eyes Shut and Missing Out

Last Week and the week before we spent with Rob. Now I’m bringing the two together. This week, Jane is lost in thought. While she waits for Rob, she kicks out her nerves by remembering her night at Club Blind. Rob has just arrived at the coffee shop, he has his cup of coffee, and now he’s got to get Jane’s attention.

Jane blacked out her thoughts, closed her eyes and remembered how she felt Saturday night. She didn’t need to see anything to feel his hand stroking her thigh or relive his warm mouth sucking her clit. Would she ever get a night like that again? Would she ever meet a man like him?”

“Jane, it’s good to see you.”

“Oh. Hi, Rob, thanks for meeting me. What can I get you to drink?”

Opps. Open your eyes, Jane. See the man right in front of you. I mean, he has his coffee already 😉

Hope you enjoyed my eight today. Thank you so much for visiting me, it means a lot to me that you took the time to visit my little place on the web. Don’t forget to check out the other Weekend Warriorsand Saturday Spankings too.

Weekend Writing Warriors – Nerves and Romance

AAA-WWW

Welcome friends new and old. I submitted a WIP late last year (my first submission ever) and this week it got a full request. Squee!! Would you dance with me a little. Thanks. 😀

Last Week We met Rob and his best friend. Rob’s just a little excited to see Jane again. Now I give you 8 more from the end of their conversation.

“Thank you, you were right, and now I’ve got a hot date.”

“You’ve got a business meeting. Don’t mess it up.”

Rob hung up the phone and picked up his basketball, rolling the ball around in his hands, he paced the room. Concern took over his excitement. He would mess everything up if he didn’t tell Jane about Gina. There had to be a way to tell the woman you wanted about the woman you no longer loved. He’d hoped to have a first date with Jane before he had to bring up his ex-wife.

“Shit, I am going to mess this up.”

Somebody’s nervous. Next week I promise to give you a snippet from when Jane and Rob meet. Thank you so much for visiting me, it means a lot to me that you took the time to visit my little place on the web. Don’t forget to check out the other Weekend Warriorsand Saturday Spankings too. I hope to see you again next Sunday.

Weekend Writing Warriors – She Called

AAA-WWW

Welcome friends new and old. I’m giving you 8 from my hero’s POV as promised. I kept my other promise this week too, I’ve sent this MS to my CP. Wahoo!

Over the past few weeks I’ve shared Jane’s experience at Club Blind. Last Week Jane kept her mind from drifting to her mystery man, from the club, by working on a job opening for a VIP client. She met the perfect match for the job last month at a technology conference. She got Rob to agree to a meet. Lucky for us the first thing Rob does is call his best friend, Marcus.

“Marcus, she called.”

“Who is this?”

“Stop it, you know what I’m talking about.” He opened his closet and searched for the right suit.

“You think? You’ve only managed to squeeze Jane into almost every conversation since that convention.”

“No, I have not.”

“Do you want a recap?”

Sounds like those boys like to give each other a good ribbing. So, Rob has been thinking about Jane, very interesting. Do you want 8-more from this WIP next week? I could give you 8 from when Jane and Rob met or should I give you something from an entirely new WIP?

Thank you so much for visiting me, it means a lot to me that you took the time to visit my little place on the web. Don’t forget to check out the other Weekend Warriorsand Saturday Spankings too. I hope to see you again next Sunday.

Weekend Writing Warriors and the Write Club meet Rob

AAA-WWW

Welcome friends new and old, warriors and write club members alike. I’m going to give you a couple more posts from the story I’ve been sharing. The first draft is finished and I’m in full on edit mode. I will hit send to the CP this week. I will. 🙂

In the Blind (working title), and you can see the past six posts from this WIP here. The Logline: When a head hunter finds her dream lover in a night of pitch black unrestrained passion, she fears she’ll never find him again. Fate steps in and throws the two together, but they might never discover the truth and stay in the blind.

Over the past few weeks I’ve shared Jane’s experience at Club Blind. Last Week Jane worked at remembering her mystery man, from the club, only provided her with a transition back into dating. Jane’s just gotten a chance to fill a job opening for a VIP client. She knows exactly who she wants applying for the job, he has the necessary skills, plus he’s the fantasy man she met last month. A fantasy because, although they hit it off and he’s been divorced for some time, he was still wearing the ring. She’s gotten the man on the phone and laid out a proposition to meet and discuss the opportunity. Will he agree or won’t he?

The silence on the phone grew deafening as her heart thumped in her chest. “Come on, I’ll buy you a great cup of coffee.” She’d never get another chance to help Keller, if she didn’t find him the right candidate. She also wanted to find out if Rob had taken off his ring.

“Okay, tomorrow, eleven o’clock at the place just past Clark on Diversey, lake side.”

“Sounds perfect, but make it nine and wear a suit.”

Jane is in the zone and calling the shots, will that continue through their meet? Come back next week and I’ll give you some from Rob’s POV. Until then, I hope you enjoyed my eight six today. Thank you so much for visiting me, it means a lot to me that you took the time to visit my little place on the web. Don’t forget to check out the other Write ClubWeekend Warriorsand Saturday Spankings too. I hope to see you again next Sunday.

Flash Fiction #38 Watching and Waiting

Thanks for stopping. Another picture…another 100 words.

Christy stood at the fringes of the room. As a new member of the club, she was restricted from interacting, but she could watch. She peered through her bangs to the man standing at attention near the end of the bar. He’d crossed his arms tightly over his broad chest. Her bound wrists reminded her she could not touch, could not join the soiree.

Would he notice her?

Music pumped through the room, the beat vibrating through her body and mixing with her jumble of nerves. A crease appeared in his brow, he turned and captured her gaze.

“Oh my.”

Weekend Writing Warriors – Wishful Thinking

AAA-WWW

Welcome friends new and old. I’m going to give you a couple more posts from the story I’ve been sharing. The first draft is finished and I’m in full on edit mode.

Last Week their night came to an end. Now, it’s the next day and Jane is talking to her best friend, Anne, on the phone. The first line is Jane’s.

“I can still hear his voice in my head.”

“He talked to you?”

“Yes, it was much more than I expected.”

“Jane.”

“I wish—”

“Jane, stop right there, you are not supposed to fall for this guy, he was your transition guy. Now you know it wasn’t you,  Adam was wrong. I’ll set you up, okay?”

Do you think Jane is going to forget about her mystery man? Don’t worry, I have a plan, but it won’t be easy. You’ll have to come back to find out more. Until then, I hope you enjoyed my eight today. Thank you so much for visiting me, it means a lot to me that you took the time to visit my little place on the web. Tantalizing Tuesday #4 – A Most Romantic Story

SMTT-romI shared my good news in my ROW80 post on Sunday. To recap, I entered a flash fiction challenge last Thursday hosted by  called the #ThursThreads Challenge and I won Most Romantic Story!!  Today, I’ll be sharing my winning flash and the photo that helped inspire the words.

First, did you forget? It’s been a while.

Tuesdays aren’t for flashing…they’re for teasing. The rules of TT: I select the picture and 200 words to tease. My tease is 205 words today, please forgive me.

Vanessa dug her fingers into the cool, wet sand, loving the slip and slide of the grains caressing her fingers, and watched as the water rinsed her hand clean. She wished her life could be so simple.

“Why are you hiding from me?”

Her body froze, but her heart kicked into high gear. She pushed against the comfort of the shore to stand and face the man she’d love forever.

“I’m no good for you.” She turned to run, but he stepped in front of her.

“What good does it do?” He reached his hand out and caressed her cheek. “I’ll always come for you.”

“Oh, Carlo.” She shook her head and looked away as the tears began to fall.

He took a step closer, invading her space. “You’re the one I want, Vanessa.” He claimed her lips. “It’s always been you.”

She pushed, but he pushed back, moving them deeper into the water. The waves shoved against their legs forcing them closer together and she felt her life come back into focus. He was right to find her, he held her heart.

“Oh, Carlo. I love you.”

“I know.”

She giggled and kissed him, finally letting go and letting him in, where he belonged.

Hope you enjoyed my tease today and I hope you found it romantic!! Don’t forget to visit the other teasers at Tantalizing Tuesday. Or click away on the links below.

Weekend Writing Warriors – His Strong Hold

AAA-WWW

Welcome friends new and old. I’m going to give you a couple more posts from the story I’ve been sharing. The first draft is finished and I’m in full on edit mode.

Over the past few weeks we’ve seen Jane remove her clothes, leave her bad memories behind, and get her first kiss and then some at Club Blind. It’s the kind of place where they turn off all the lights, clothing is not an option, and they pair you up to… 😉 Rest assured, the club stands by the motto:  safe, sane, and consensual. Last Week Jane grasped why so many love the thrills of Club Blind. Today I’ve skipped a good bit, but I’ll give you almost the final 8 from this scene. They’ve just received a two-minute warning. Someone will be coming to take Jane from her mystery man and escort her back to the locker room.

She knew she’d regret not saying anything and in this moment she needed him to know how he’d affected her.

Her hand reached up and caressed his cheek. “We aren’t supposed to exchange any information, and I’ll respect that, but I’d like to thank you for tonight. I needed this.”

He pulled her on top of him and they wrapped their arms around each other. This was nothing but a night of fantastic sex, not a moment to get choked up. His hold on her tightened, he held her with such strength, she couldn’t and didn’t want to pull away.

A new hand landed on her shoulder. “It’s time to go.”

Hope you enjoyed my eight today. Thank you so much for visiting me, it means a lot to me that you took the time to visit my little place on the web. Don’t forget to check out the other Weekend Warriors and Saturday Spankings too. I hope to see you again next Sunday.
