Mid Week Tease – At His Mercy from In the Blind

Click to see all the Mid Week Teases here at SJsWelcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the lovely Sandra Bunino for bringing us together.

Today, I’m sharing from my latest release, In the Blind.

Last Time: Rob received advice from his best friend. This Week: I’m sharing a tease from a sexy scene with Rob and Jane, but I’m not telling you were in the book you’ll find this scene. I’m so naughty. Enjoy!

______________

She tugged on the rope and got nowhere, not even chafing on her wrists. Being at his mercy was a complete turn on. She was his for the taking. Her hips rocked with her growing need for his touch.

“I was afraid to hope for you, afraid I couldn’t give you what you needed.”

“You gave me what I didn’t even know I needed.”

“There’s so much more I want to explore with you, and now we’ll have the time to do it. Nothing is in our way. This is our time.” He crawled between her legs and rested his head on her belly.

“I like how that sounds. It’s our time.”

“You know what else I like?” A naughty smile relaxed his face. “I like taking away your choices.” He nipped at her hip and then smothered the sting with his tongue.

“I’m at your mercy, Sir.” She rolled her hips.

“I never thought of myself as a lucky man, but I was wrong.” He crawled up to hover over her, his lips brushing just above hers. “I want to discover all the ways that bring you pleasure.” He took hold of her breast, molded it in his hand, his gaze locked on hers as she submitted to his touch.

She moaned and opened her mouth, wishing for him to claim her.

“That’s what I’ve been waiting for.” He let go of her breast, giving a quick pinch to her nipple as he slid down her body. “I want to know what drives you crazy with need.”

Her body felt like it was going up in flames. By sharing his needs, he was creating a new foundation of lust within her.

“I thought about your pussy all week.” He settled between her legs, pushing one thigh higher and the other over his shoulder.

Mid Week Tease – Chivalry Isn’t Dead from In the Blind

Click to see all the Mid Week Teases here at SJsWelcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the beautiful Sandra Bunino for bringing us together.

Today, I’m sharing from my latest release, In the Blind.

Last Time: Jane pushed Rob away. This Week: I’ve skipped all kinds of things. No Spoilers! I found this exchange between Rob and his best friend Marcus. It’s not Jane calling him, but Marcus is calling to offer some help in that department. Also, remember, Gina is Rob’s ex-wife. Enjoy!

______________

His phone buzzed with an incoming call. Disappointment ran thick when he didn’t see her number on the caller id, but his buddy was the next best thing at the moment.

“Marcus, or should I say co-worker.”

“Are you sure about this?”

“Ah, yeah, you know the size of Keller’s signing bonuses.”

“Tell me that’s not why you’re taking the job.”

“No, this is really the right job for me, and I have a feeling this will help Jane and her business.”

“Chivalry is dead.”

“No wonder you’re single. All jokes aside, I’ve been getting bored with my assignments lately, and I know Keller will push me to stay on top of new technology. Plus, I’ll get the opportunity to stretch my career.”

“That’s why I’m here.”

“He’s going to let me work from home.”

“I’m not surprised. We have several team members telecommuting. There’s even a few I’ve never met in person. Jim lives in an RV and is in constant travel around North America. Keller’s only rule is he has to be able to reach you during office hours.”

“Yes, that’s stated in the contract.”

“I don’t think Gina is going to be a problem, but if she is, I’ll take care of it.”

“I had a feeling you’d say that. I think you’re what she needs.”

“What? That’s not why—”

“Marcus, it’s okay. You probably don’t even see it yet, but it’s okay with me.”

“Well … change of topic. I think you should come back to Club Blind this Saturday.”

“I don’t think so, this Saturday is date night, and there’s only one person I’d want to meet there.” Blood rushed to his cock when he thought of taking Jane in one of those pitch black rooms. “I haven’t talked to her about it yet. Believe me, I intend to.”

“Do you trust me?”

Mid Week Tease – Roxanne and Jonathon – Her Power

Click to see all the Mid Week Teases here at SJsWelcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the amazing Sandra Bunino for bringing us together.

Today, I’m sharing a snippet from my Roxanne & Jonathon Love Story. I’ve been building it one flash at a time.

I picked today because it’s the first anniversary of my father-in-law’s death. I miss that proud Navy man and wish we had at least one more day to enjoy his company and his wisdom.

It’s been a tough year for all of us, but it’s been hardest of course on my mother-in-law. She lost her best friend and husband of fifty years. Her sorrow is deep and you can feel it hanging over her. I worry about her all the time.

At this point in the story, Roxanne and Jonathon have been separated by the villains, also known here as the Fates. Unlike my MIL, I have full control over Roxanne’s happy ending and I’m determined to reunite her with Jonathon. Until then, today’s flash is entitled “Her Power” Enjoy.

______________

It had been a year. Roxanne had felt this day coming. It was like a black hole pulling her towards the one thing she wished she had the power to change.

She’d spent the year trying to find a way to move on with her life. The Fates had won when they’d taken her Jonathon. They kept winning each day they kept them apart. The sharp pain in her heart nagged at her to move on, but she continued to pray she would find him again, that this horrible monotony would be broken.

111014She walked through the woods surrounding the cabin they’d shared during their last days together. It was her first trip back here. She’d thought it would hurt more, but in this place her memories seemed more alive.

In that moment, she knew she couldn’t move on. She wouldn’t. Not until they could do it together.

Mid Week Tease – What Do You Really Want

Click to see all the Mid Week Teases here at SJsWelcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the amazing Sandra Bunino for bringing us together.

Today, I’m sharing from my new release, In the Blind.

Last Time: Jane and Rob are sharing a ride home from his interview. Rob moved in for a kiss and it was magic, but then Jane pushed him away. This Week: I’ve skipped nothing and you’ll find out if she thinks better of her decision or if she continues down her road alone. Enjoy.

______________

“Let’s close this deal, get you started, and then we’ll see. Okay?”

“If that’s what you want.” He slowly moved back to his side of the car.

“It is.” But it wasn’t. She wanted to kiss him again and her need for him kept growing. She brushed the wrinkles from her skirt. She’d told him no and he’d listened. It was a good thing, but a sad ache, like she’d been denied entry to her favorite show, tore at her resolve.

Her grandpa taught her to take risks and she’d practiced the skill regularly with her business, but she no longer had a desire to risk her heart. Normally, she’d try for at least the middle road, but she didn’t know what else to do at the moment.

She needed a real chance with Rob. She wanted to earn a chance with Keller’s connections. Pushing through this deal and letting the chips fall might be her only chance at both. How else would she ever really know if Rob was over his ex? She tugged at her blouse. The damn thing clung to her, and she needing more room to breathe.

Finally the car pulled to the curb in front of her office building.

“I’ll contact you as soon as I hear from Keller’s office.” She stole one last look at Rob.

“I’ll be waiting.” He didn’t move an inch.

She imagined he was holding himself back, like a caged beast. Her pulse jumped. Instead of giving in, she scooted out of the car, closed the door, and watched the car disappear.

 ____________

No! Oh, Jane. Who thinks she’s going to regret getting out of the car alone? Good news, you can read this whole story now since the doors to Club Blind are open. Wahoo!

Mid Week Tease – An Extra Scene from Club Blind

MidWeekTeaseHalloweenWelcome to a very special hump day. Thank you to the creative Sandra Bunino for bringing us together.

I haven’t written finished a paranormal story, but I do have this new club that could have a spooky element if I wasn’t such a romance writer. So, I’ve decided to indulge today and give you a peek at the next couple on my erotic romance to do list and show you a bit of the work that went into opening Club Blind.

Be sure to come back on Friday. I’ll be sharing this same scene from Marcus’s point of view.

Enjoy.

______________

Gina ran down the stairs armed with her directive from Master Keller, but also to finally find out what Marcus was up to. She had no idea why he ranked so high on Keller’s list. If Marcus was up to something shady, she’d make sure he answered for it.

Keller told her she’d find Marcus in the basement. She opened the heavy door to the final set of stairs and found the first bland looking corner of the building. The walls were cinder-block and the stairs were nothing but wood planks. She searched for a light switch and found none, luckily there was just enough light. She skipped down a couple steps, eager to complete her mission. The door shut behind her with a quite whoosh and then nothing. She no longer heard the club members or the music from the club above.

Once at the bottom of the stairs, she was greeted by more cinder-block, these were painted black. There were a few naked light bulbs hanging from the ceiling, but still no light switches. The hall was lined with doorways and they all seemed to open to the same emptiness, black rooms with no doors.

“What is this place?” A sinking feeling filled her gut. She searched the corners for cobwebs and found none, not even a speck of dust on the cold dark floor. She did find one door in the long hall. Slowly, she pushed it open and revealed an overly white space filled with lockers and then the lights went out.

“Shit.” She let the door close and backed up a step into the hallway. “Marcus.” She looked left, right and saw nothing but black. She closed her eyes and felt her way to the hallway wall. Soothing music poured into the space. She couldn’t place the speakers. They seemed to be surrounding her.

There were times in her life she hadn’t felt safe and she told herself this wasn’t one of them. Her heartbeat continued its rise. She was still in Keller’s building and she knew Marcus was here somewhere.

“Marcus.” She reached out in front of her. Nothing.

She took a deep breath and pressed her palms against the wall behind her back, the grooves in the blocks grounding her. She knew where she was, but why was she here? Upstairs she knew what to do, whatever the Dom demanded. An intense heat warmed her from within. What would be asked of her in a space like this, one where she couldn’t even see?

She tucked her hair behind her ear, the movement feeling more intense, more deliberate. She felt her way up her arm, around her neck, and to her chest. She arched her back, wishing she had a Dom here now commanding her next move.

“Marcus,” she called into the nothing.

Mid Week Tease – Warrior by Cara Bristol

Click to see all the Mid Week Teases here at SJsWelcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the amazing Sandra Bunino for bringing us together.

I’m teasing from one of my favorite authors, Cara Bristol. I love her books and her third book in her Breeder series released yesterday! Warrior is the book I’ve been waiting for. You can read my 5-star review here. The whole series is a must read.

click to see Warrior on Goodreads

A Tease from Warrior by Cara Bristol:

“If I had not killed Grogan, he would have beaten and used you.”Urazi had witnessed Grogan striking her, so the first part came as no surprise, but how could he have known the alpha had intended to avail himself of her?“Do you think I could not read his behavior? That I did not notice him rubbing himself against you? Do you think I am mentally deficient?” Urazi growled. “If I had not intervened, you would have joined forces against Marlix, Dak, and Ilian without knowing it.”

Anika’s face heated with guilt and shame.

“You are impulsive! Rash,” Urazi continued to rail. “You fled without concern for the consequences.”

“I knew the consequences! Marlix would have sent me to Ilian.”

Urazi looked away. “Commander Ilian would have kept you safe.”

“Maybe safety represents the greatest danger of all.”

“Your words do not make sense.”

“I wish to choose what I do. “

“Protocol makes the choice for you.”

“Protocol. Protocol. Protocol! I am sick of Protocol.” Anika stomped around, too angry to remain still.

“It is the way. Our way.”

“Our way allowed Corren, Commander Dak’s beta, to slit my throat and leave me for dead.”

Anika traced the fine scar bisecting her neck. “It allowed Qalin’s guards to hunt Tara and me, to kill Tara’s friend Ramon.”

“That is not the fault of Protocol, but of the individuals involved,” Urazi said.

Anika shook her head. “No. It creates the environment that encourages such behavior.”

“That is incor—”

“Protocol allows the male offspring of my sire to send me to whomever he wishes without concern for my desires.” Anika cut him off.

“Ilian is Alpha. He is the best possible choice for you.”

“Qalin is Alpha, too. Would he not be a best possible choice?”

“Now you speak rubbish.” Urazi turned away.

“You know I am right.”

“I know we all have our duty. In obedience, we achieve honor.”

“Easy for you to say. You are male. Your duty affords you some choices.”

“I am beta. Do you not think I wish for more?” Urazi whipped around, his gray eyes ablaze.

“But I owe my allegiance to Parseon and to my Alpha! I accept that.”

“Well, I do not!” If she had a hammer she would not be able to pound understanding into his stony male brain. He would never empathize with her position. No male could. Anika clenched her hands into fists. If she were a male, she would have punched him by now. Old and new resentments ballooned. If she could not calm herself, she would explode. She would punch him.

Anika stomped toward the forest.

“Come back here!”

She ignored him. He did not get a choice in the matter. Let him see what it was like to have one’s wishes overruled.

“Anika, I warn you….” Urazi’s voice hardened.

She faltered, responding to the command, habit and lifelong training overruling self-determination. But only if she let it. I am more than what I have been taught. Anika whirled around, folded all her fingers except for the middle one, and showed him her hand. Tara had called it flipping the coro and explained it was a very rude, dismissive gesture on Terra. It would be more satisfying if Urazi knew what it meant, but, for now, it was enough that she did. She spun around and marched toward the woods.

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000040_00014]Blurb

Between war and duty, they find love…

On a planet where women are chattel, Anika is to be delivered to become the mate of an Alpha Commander. Secretly in love with another, she is unable to accept the arrangement and flees. Bound by his duty, her lover Urazi intended to bring her back to fulfill her function. But war intervenes, and as their planet fights a desperate battle against a villainous despot, Anika and Urazi become united in their determination to save their people. But with their lives on the line, the love they share may become the biggest risk of all.

Warrior is the third and final book of the Breeder science fiction romance series, but it can be read as a stand-alone.

Mid Week Tease – Come A Bit Closer

Click to see all the Mid Week Teases here at SJsWelcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the amazing Sandra Bunino for bringing us together.

Today, I’m sharing from my next book, In the Blind. It’s releasing October 15th! 😀

Last WeekI shared the start of their ride home from Rob’s interview. I left them with Rob moving in for a kiss and Jane pushing him back. This Week: As promised, I’ve skipped nothing and you’ll find out if she lets him come closer. Enjoy.

______________

He tilted his head slightly, and she let him come a bit closer. His cheek brushed along hers. Questions swirled around in her mind, making her dizzy. She’d started falling for this man while they talked about changes in the job market and their favorite apps. Now, all she had to do was relax her arm a bit and he’d kiss her. She licked her lips and imagined his body pressed against hers.

She pulled him closer and removed the distance. His lips sealed over hers, and she was lost. This was what she craved, this surrender of need. When he pulled away, she opened her mouth and he took his claim.

Their tongues tangled back and forth. She breathed in his deep intoxicating scent. She needed him between her thighs. That sharp burst of need took over her common sense. What was she doing? She couldn’t understand this loss of control.

She didn’t even understand him. He’d taken off the ring, but he was going after a job that would put him in daily contact with his ex. Was Jane merely the warm-up to getting back what he’d lost?

She needed to protect herself. She couldn’t miss something simple and walk right back to heartbreak. She wanted, needed to be his first choice. Her fingers dug further into his shirt and squeezed. The folds of the material pushed against her hand, and she tunneled her fingers along the fabric. She didn’t want to let go, but she had to. She didn’t know what instinct to trust.

She peeked at him and wanted to believe his desire was true. His eyes smoldered with restrained heat. No man could look at her like that and only want a job or a one night stand, but she couldn’t risk her heart before she knew the truth. With a shove she watched the heat in his eyes fade.

 ____________

No! Oh, Jane. Who thinks she’s going to regret pushing him away? Well, I do have good news. You can read this whole story starting next Wednesday when the doors to Club Blind are finally opened. Wahoo!

Coming-SoonUnofficial Blurb:

Jane thinks she’s ready to take the risks her business and love life desperately need. Rob’s still punishing himself for a broken relationship that wasn’t meant to last. When the pair let an opportunity pass them by, fate steps in and throws them back together.

Today, I’m sharing from my next book to release:

In the Blind

Last Week I shared a fun conversation with Rob and his best friend, Marcus. This Week: I’ve skipped a bunch. I will give no spoilers. 🙂 Rob and Jane are being chauffeured home from Rob’s interview. Enjoy.

______________

“Thanks for bringing me here today.”

“You’re welcome. Thanks for giving it a chance.” She tugged at her blouse. “I’m pretty sure he’ll send an attractive offer. There will probably be only one thing in it we can change, but I’ll find it.”

“You’re a shark.”

“Hardly.”

“I admire that about you. You go after what you want, don’t you?”

“In my professional life, yes, I like to believe that’s true.” She’d taken lots of chances throughout her career. In business, she wasn’t afraid to take risks. She crossed her legs and angled herself towards him.

He shifted in his seat to face her directly. “What aren’t you going after in your personal life?”

“Pretty much everything.”

“What do you want?”

She turned to look out the window. He’d laid out the question she hadn’t pushed herself to answer. Her thoughts kept drifting to Saturday night and her mystery man. He’d made her fantasies come to life, but it was this man sitting next to her, the one who might not be totally ready, who made her heart flutter uncontrollably. The two together would be explosive. Which did she want? Which could she have?

“I want trust and friendship.”

“Is that all? I can give you that.”

She shifted in the seat and looked him right in the eye. “No, that’s not all.”

“Don’t play with me.”

“I’m not—”

He shifted towards her. His body got a few inches from her, and she pushed against his chest, her eyes clamped shut. Convincing herself he was still hung up on his ex made the possibility of getting hurt highly unlikely because, before he could hurt her, he would drift out of her life. But for now he was here, close, and pushing against her hand. She let her elbow bend, and he came closer. The rich manly scent of him drove her needs higher.

She wanted him with an urgency that caused her fingers to dig around the fabric of his shirt. Desire and nerves fought for her attention. Pushing him away would be safe. She had no desire for safety.

 ____________

Oh. I wonder what happens next. 😉 Come back next week and I promise to share the next bit. Also, I turned in edits last night and am expecting one more round and then release day will be here. Wahoo!

In the Blind

Last Week and the weeks before I’ve been sharing their smushed meet and their not quite right time meet. This Week: Rob has just gotten off the phone with Jane. I’ve skipped that part. I know, I’m so naughty. 😉 He’s calling his best friend to talk about a possible new job. Well, he’s really calling to talk about a girl.

______________

“Marcus, she called.”

“Who is this?”

“Stop it. You know what I’m talking about.”

“You think? You’ve only managed to squeeze Jane into almost every conversation since the convention.”

“No, I have not.”

“Do you want a recap?”

“Okay, fine. I’m meeting her tomorrow for coffee.” He opened his closet and searched for the right suit.

“Sounds sexy.”

“She thinks she’s found a job for me. I played the conversation perfect, had her begging.” He shifted his still hard cock to a better position.

“I’ve found the right job for you, although I understand why you won’t consider.”

“Gina and I get along fine, not sure working with her would be a good idea though. I honestly don’t know how you’re doing it. I didn’t think you two got along.”

“It’s only been a couple months, but working for Keller is my dream job and I hardly ever see her.”

“Maybe Jane will have my dream job and—”

“You think she’ll take you, too, huh? At least now you’re no longer wearing that stupid ring. That thing was woman repellent.”

“I was married. I’d made a commitment.” Rob tore the dry cleaner bag off his charcoal suit.

“Apparently you were the only one. I still can’t believe she cheated on you.”

“Don’t remind me, but you know that’s not why our marriage fell apart.” He balled up the thin plastic and tossed it in the direction of his trash can.

“I know why your marriage fell apart, but not to worry, I won’t say I told you so.”

“Someday we’ll talk about it. I don’t think you’re ready yet.” He walked over to where the plastic had landed, picked it up, and shoved it into the trash.

“Whatever. Speaking of ready, when are you going to check out Club Voyage? I thought Mistress Charlie had you complete the paperwork.”

“She did, but I haven’t turned it in yet.”

“You’ve denied yourself long enough. It’s time to start taking care of your needs.”

“I know. I’ll turn it in this week. After my weekend, I don’t think anything is standing in my way.”

“You can thank me anytime you want.”

“Thank you, you were right. That was what I needed. Man, it was hot, and now I’ve got a hot date.”

“You’ve got a business meeting. Don’t mess it up.”

There are some famous last words, not to mention a few clues for the 3rd book in the Love Projects series. 😀 I’m working on edits right now for In the Blind and hope to have news on its release date in a few weeks.

An evening of pitch black unrestrained passion at Club Blind opens her eyes to life’s possibilities. Now, if they don’t fight past their personal demons, they might never truly discover what they need most. If they can open their hearts, it might lead them directly to each other where they can discover their truth. If not, they may forever stay in the blind.

Click to see all the Mid Week Teases here at SJsWelcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the fabulous Sandra Bunino for bringing us together.

Today, I’m sharing from my next book to release:

In the Blind

Last Week: Our heroine fell on her ass and discovered her hero was wearing a wedding ring. Ouch! This Week: I’ve skipped some sweet interactions with these two. I’m so naughty. 😉 Instead, I’m giving you another clue about that ring.

____________

He followed her back to her table. She took his card and promised to call if she came across a position for him. As he walked away, she grabbed hold of her table. He belonged to someone else. All he could be was a friend, a fantasy at best.

He’d gotten half way across the room before he turned and came back. A flutter of impossibility filled her belly. He stopped his forward movement once, but then continued until he was a foot from her table.

“I’d really like to see you again, but—”

“You’re married.”

“What?”

“It’s okay. I saw the ring earlier.” She shoved her hands into her pockets.

“Oh, that.” He played with the ring. “My divorce has been final for a few weeks, but I can’t seem to take it off.”

“I’m sorry.” She reached out to him, but pulled back. “I have no idea how hard that must be.”

“Is it strange the divorce should feel more natural than the marriage?”

“Big changes, no matter how natural, take time to cope.”

“Wise words.” An easy smile lifted the strain from his face. “Did you get that one from your grandpa?”

“I did.” She nodded her head.

“I may not be ready to change my work situation, but call me, if you find something. Maybe I’ll be ready when you call.”

“I’ll do that.”

“Thank you, Jane.” He reached out his hand. “It was really nice to meet you.”

She took hold of his hand, squeezed hard, and let him go.

The memories from that day replayed regularly in her mind. Once she started her string of first dates, they were all compared to Rob. Not a one made her smile as easy or left her needing more like he did.

____________

There you have it. Combine that with the clue in the blurb and you’ll see our hero is being honest here, poor guy. It’s time for him to move forward. If it were only that easy.
