He closed the door behind them and the distinct click of a lock tumbling over echoed around the room. Maybe no showing yesterday was a mistake. “Yes.” She kept her focus on him. He gave nothing away. His expression didn’t change, only his fingers tapped on his desk which was irritatingly neat.

“Then we have a problem.” He stood. “We’d agreed to meet. I kept up my end.”

“And I didn’t.” She blew out a deep breath.

“Come here.”

She didn’t move. She didn’t take her next breath either.

He pointed to the ground in front of him. “Don’t make me ask twice.”

She jumped and then slipped around his desk. Damn, he really did smell good. No matter whether it was aftershave or him, the deep woodsy scent turned here on. Everything about Brad turned her on.

“Did I ask you to join me at Mistress Charlie’s yesterday?”

“Yes, but—”

“No.”

Today, I’m teasing from In the Blind because I’ve signed the contract for the 2nd book in my Club Blind Series. Woot!! 😀

For this tease, I’ve skipped forward again. Rob just finished his interview and they’re getting driven home which allows them to have this semi-private moment. 🙂 Enjoy!

“Thanks for bringing me here today.”

“You’re welcome. Thanks for giving it a chance.” She tugged at her blouse. “I’m pretty sure he’ll send an attractive offer. There will probably be only one thing in it we can change, but I’ll find it.”

“You’re a shark.”

“Hardly.”

“I admire that about you. You go after what you want, don’t you?”

“In my professional life, yes, I like to believe that’s true.” She’d taken lots of chances throughout her career. In business, she wasn’t afraid to take risks. She crossed her legs and angled herself towards him.

He shifted in his seat to face her directly. “What aren’t you going after in your personal life?”

“Pretty much everything.”

“What do you want?”

She turned to look out the window. He’d laid out the question she hadn’t pushed herself to answer. Her thoughts kept drifting to Saturday night and her mystery man. She’d started falling for this man while they talked about changes in the job market and their favorite apps. Now, all she had to do was relax her arm a bit and he’d kiss her. She licked her lips and imagined his body pressed against hers.

She pulled him closer and removed the distance. His lips sealed over hers, and she was lost. This was what she craved, this surrender of need. When he pulled away, she opened her mouth and he took his claim.

Mid Week Tease -She Called!- A snippet from In the Blind, Club Blind Book 1

Rob’s day was turning around, a date with a pretty girl and possibly a new job, not bad for a Monday. No, it wasn’t a date, more like a business meeting. It didn’t mean he wasn’t going to enjoy the company.

His luck must still be running on high from the first fantastic weekend he’d had in months. After all the dates Mistress Charlie had sent him on, the only gal who’d stayed on his mind was the one he hadn’t even dated.

After meeting Jane at the convention, he’d decided to finally take off his wedding ring. It was about time his deprivation ended. His relationship with Gina was over a long time before they’d even filed. Giving up on what he swore would be a lifetime commitment bothered him, and continuing to wear the ring had felt like his punishment.

He may not have wrecked their marriage, but he did need to find a way to move past the rubble. His weekend adventure reminded him he still had a life of his own to rebuild.

After meeting Jane, he’d wanted the ring off. He’d wanted to move on. He’d wanted to talk to her again, see her deep brown eyes again. He’d given her his contact information that day, but he’d never gotten hers and she hadn’t called. Sure, he could have found her, but at the time he had taken it as a sign. That was then, because now, after the weekend he’d had, he knew he was ready.

He picked up his phone and called his buddy. “Marcus, she called.”

“Who is this?”

“Stop it. You know what I’m talking about.”

“You think? You’ve only managed to squeeze Jane into almost every conversation since the convention.”

“No, I have not.”

“Do you want a recap?”

“Okay, fine. I’m meeting her tomorrow for coffee.” He opened his closet and searched for the right suit.

“Sounds sexy.”

“She thinks she’s found a job for me. I played the conversation perfect, had her begging.” He shifted his still hard cock to a better position.

“I wish we had the time to do it all over again.”

“Our time is almost up?” she asked.

“It will be all too soon. I’d like to lie here with you in my arms for as long as I can.”

She pressed her hand to his chest and tried to memorize the feel and shape of him. He explored her backside. She wanted the moment to last, and it did for a couple more songs.

The music stopped, and a voice rang through the speakers. “Escorts will be coming for the ladies in two minutes.”

The music came back, but it was altogether different. The rhythm was gentler and the volume was considerably lower, which made it easier to talk, if you had something to talk about. She knew she’d regret not saying anything. In this moment, she needed him to know how he’d affected her.

“We aren’t supposed to exchange any information, and I’ll respect that, but I’d like to thank you for tonight. I needed this.” She caressed his cheek.

Next weekend, we’ll be celebrating Valentine’s day, but the party starts today. Below you’ll find my giveaway, the link to the rafflecopter for the Grand Prize, and a link to find all the other hop participants.

Chicago has been the backdrop for my books and it’s also the place where my husband and I celebrated our first anniversary years ago. Whenever I think about that anniversary, I’m reminded how any place can be romantic. It doesn’t matter where you are.

Sometimes you need warm weather, sometimes you need something special to eat, or something pretty, like flowers or jewelry. The hero and heroine in my latest release, “In the Blind”, find love and romance in the darkest of places which is not necessarily where you’d think you’d find romance. Romance finds you when you’re not looking for it but it also finds you when you make it happen.

Here’s a snippet from the first chapter of “In the Blind”:

The door continued to open every few minutes. Finally, the woman in front of Jane was taken away. She could see nothing past the door besides black. Until the door closed, she continued gazing into the darkness. How would the loss of sight change the experience? Would she feel more? What would he feel like? Nerves shook through her limbs, and sweat tickled her palms.

The door opened, and she stood straight as a statue. This was crazy. She searched for pockets in her robe. When she found none, she swallowed back a curse.

The escort stopped in front of her. “Are you having second thoughts?” He shifted the goggles higher on his forehead.

“Maybe.”

“Would you like to step back and wait to go or …” He stepped back and cracked the door open. “Sometimes it helps to hear the sounds of the other participants.”

She closed her eyes and took in the moans and let her mind drift to what her body would feel like to make her make those kinds of sounds.

“I don’t want to pressure you. Tell me what you want.”

“Thank you.” She opened her eyes and took a step towards him. The only way was forward. “I’m ready.”

“Good for you.” He reached out and took hold of her hand. “Come on, I’ll take you to the lucky one, for tonight.” He winked and tugged her forward.

Once the door closed behind them, Jane was surrounded by unending black. She looked around, but there was nothing, no end to the darkness. A nervous shiver danced along her spine, followed by thoughts of haunted houses. What would she find around the next corner? Her escort tugged her forward, bringing her back to the night’s purpose.

She needed to remember why she was here. She needed to live in the moment. There was a good chance she was about to touch the man who would give her release.

They slowed, turned a corner, and after a couple more steps they stopped. She swallowed the lump in her throat when her escort placed her hand into another’s.

“Enjoy.” He squeezed her shoulder, and she sensed his presence leave the space.

A pull on her hand forced her feet forward a couple of steps. She stopped just as abruptly when she bumped into a hard chest—the man of the hour. This man would touch her soon, but he wasn’t yet. He was only holding her hand. Her breasts moved with her uneven breathing, and her nipples scraped against his chest.

Why wasn’t he touching her? Was he nervous, too, or having second thoughts? She reached up in curiosity to make sure he wasn’t wearing a pair of night-vision goggles, but only found soft hair. She followed the section of hair to above his shoulder and continued onto smooth skin and around his shoulder to his bicep thick with muscle. Her heart thumped, and her breath quickened as moisture covered her needy pussy.

She breathed deeply, taking in his delicious musky scent. Her hand wandered to his chest and found more of the same, firm skin rounding over firm muscles. A warm hand landed over hers and held her hand tight to his chest. A nose tickled her ear.
