Today, I’m sharing from my next book, In the Blind. It’s releasing October 15th! 😀

Last WeekI shared the start of their ride home from Rob’s interview. I left them with Rob moving in for a kiss and Jane pushing him back. This Week: As promised, I’ve skipped nothing and you’ll find out if she lets him come closer. Enjoy.

______________

He tilted his head slightly, and she let him come a bit closer. His cheek brushed along hers. Questions swirled around in her mind, making her dizzy. She’d started falling for this man while they talked about changes in the job market and their favorite apps. Now, all she had to do was relax her arm a bit and he’d kiss her. She licked her lips and imagined his body pressed against hers.

She pulled him closer and removed the distance. His lips sealed over hers, and she was lost. This was what she craved, this surrender of need. When he pulled away, she opened her mouth and he took his claim.

Their tongues tangled back and forth. She breathed in his deep intoxicating scent. She needed him between her thighs. That sharp burst of need took over her common sense. What was she doing? She couldn’t understand this loss of control.

She didn’t even understand him. He’d taken off the ring, but he was going after a job that would put him in daily contact with his ex. Was Jane merely the warm-up to getting back what he’d lost?

She needed to protect herself. She couldn’t miss something simple and walk right back to heartbreak. She wanted, needed to be his first choice. Her fingers dug further into his shirt and squeezed. The folds of the material pushed against her hand, and she tunneled her fingers along the fabric. She didn’t want to let go, but she had to. She didn’t know what instinct to trust.

She peeked at him and wanted to believe his desire was true. His eyes smoldered with restrained heat. No man could look at her like that and only want a job or a one night stand, but she couldn’t risk her heart before she knew the truth. With a shove she watched the heat in his eyes fade.

 ____________

No! Oh, Jane. Who thinks she’s going to regret pushing him away? Well, I do have good news. You can read this whole story starting next Wednesday when the doors to Club Blind are finally opened. Wahoo!

Coming-SoonUnofficial Blurb:

Jane thinks she’s ready to take the risks her business and love life desperately need. Rob’s still punishing himself for a broken relationship that wasn’t meant to last. When the pair let an opportunity pass them by, fate steps in and throws them back together.

An evening of pitch black unrestrained passion at Club Blind opens her eyes to life’s possibilities. Now, if they don’t fight past their personal demons, they might never truly discover what they need most. If they can open their hearts, it might lead them directly to each other where they can discover their truth. If not, they may forever stay in the blind.

Today, I’m sharing from my next book to release:

In the Blind

Last Week I shared a fun conversation with Rob and his best friend, Marcus. This Week: I’ve skipped a bunch. I will give no spoilers. 🙂 Rob and Jane are being chauffeured home from Rob’s interview. Enjoy.

______________

“Thanks for bringing me here today.”

“You’re welcome. Thanks for giving it a chance.” She tugged at her blouse. “I’m pretty sure he’ll send an attractive offer. There will probably be only one thing in it we can change, but I’ll find it.”

“You’re a shark.”

“Hardly.”

“I admire that about you. You go after what you want, don’t you?”

“In my professional life, yes, I like to believe that’s true.” She’d taken lots of chances throughout her career. In business, she wasn’t afraid to take risks. She crossed her legs and angled herself towards him.

He shifted in his seat to face her directly. “What aren’t you going after in your personal life?”

“Pretty much everything.”

“What do you want?”

She turned to look out the window. He’d laid out the question she hadn’t pushed herself to answer. Her thoughts kept drifting to Saturday night and her mystery man. He’d made her fantasies come to life, but it was this man sitting next to her, the one who might not be totally ready, who made her heart flutter uncontrollably. The two together would be explosive. Which did she want? Which could she have?

“I want trust and friendship.”

“Is that all? I can give you that.”

She shifted in the seat and looked him right in the eye. “No, that’s not all.”

“Don’t play with me.”

“I’m not—”

He shifted towards her. His body got a few inches from her, and she pushed against his chest, her eyes clamped shut. Convincing herself he was still hung up on his ex made the possibility of getting hurt highly unlikely because, before he could hurt her, he would drift out of her life. But for now he was here, close, and pushing against her hand. She let her elbow bend, and he came closer. The rich manly scent of him drove her needs higher.

She wanted him with an urgency that caused her fingers to dig around the fabric of his shirt. Desire and nerves fought for her attention. Pushing him away would be safe. She had no desire for safety.

Oh. I wonder what happens next. 😉 Come back next week and I promise to share the next bit. Also, I turned in edits last night and am expecting one more round and then release day will be here. Wahoo!

Today, I’m sharing from my next book to release:

In the Blind

Last Week and the weeks before I’ve been sharing their smushed meet and their not quite right time meet. This Week: Rob has just gotten off the phone with Jane. I’ve skipped that part. I know, I’m so naughty. 😉 He’s calling his best friend to talk about a possible new job. Well, he’s really calling to talk about a girl.

______________

“Marcus, she called.”

“Who is this?”

“Stop it. You know what I’m talking about.”

“You think? You’ve only managed to squeeze Jane into almost every conversation since the convention.”

“No, I have not.”

“Do you want a recap?”

“Okay, fine. I’m meeting her tomorrow for coffee.” He opened his closet and searched for the right suit.

“Sounds sexy.”

“She thinks she’s found a job for me. I played the conversation perfect, had her begging.” He shifted his still hard cock to a better position.

“I’ve found the right job for you, although I understand why you won’t consider.”

“Gina and I get along fine, not sure working with her would be a good idea though. I honestly don’t know how you’re doing it. I didn’t think you two got along.”

“It’s only been a couple months, but working for Keller is my dream job and I hardly ever see her.”

“Maybe Jane will have my dream job and—”

“You think she’ll take you, too, huh? At least now you’re no longer wearing that stupid ring. That thing was woman repellent.”

“I was married. I’d made a commitment.” Rob tore the dry cleaner bag off his charcoal suit.

“Apparently you were the only one. I still can’t believe she cheated on you.”

“Don’t remind me, but you know that’s not why our marriage fell apart.” He balled up the thin plastic and tossed it in the direction of his trash can.

“I know why your marriage fell apart, but not to worry, I won’t say I told you so.”

“Someday we’ll talk about it. I don’t think you’re ready yet.” He walked over to where the plastic had landed, picked it up, and shoved it into the trash.

“Whatever. Speaking of ready, when are you going to check out Club Voyage? I thought Mistress Charlie had you complete the paperwork.”

“She did, but I haven’t turned it in yet.”

“You’ve denied yourself long enough. It’s time to start taking care of your needs.”

“I know. I’ll turn it in this week. After my weekend, I don’t think anything is standing in my way.”

“You can thank me anytime you want.”

“Thank you, you were right. That was what I needed. Man, it was hot, and now I’ve got a hot date.”

“You’ve got a business meeting. Don’t mess it up.”

____________

There are some famous last words, not to mention a few clues for the 3rd book in the Love Projects series. 😀 I’m working on edits right now for In the Blind and hope to have news on its release date in a few weeks.

Today, I’m sharing from my next book to release:

In the Blind

Last Week: Our heroine fell on her ass and discovered her hero was wearing a wedding ring. Ouch! This Week: I’ve skipped some sweet interactions with these two. I’m so naughty. 😉 Instead, I’m giving you another clue about that ring.

____________

He followed her back to her table. She took his card and promised to call if she came across a position for him. As he walked away, she grabbed hold of her table. He belonged to someone else. All he could be was a friend, a fantasy at best.

He’d gotten half way across the room before he turned and came back. A flutter of impossibility filled her belly. He stopped his forward movement once, but then continued until he was a foot from her table.

“I’d really like to see you again, but—”

“You’re married.”

“What?”

“It’s okay. I saw the ring earlier.” She shoved her hands into her pockets.

“Oh, that.” He played with the ring. “My divorce has been final for a few weeks, but I can’t seem to take it off.”

“I’m sorry.” She reached out to him, but pulled back. “I have no idea how hard that must be.”

“Is it strange the divorce should feel more natural than the marriage?”

“Big changes, no matter how natural, take time to cope.”

“Wise words.” An easy smile lifted the strain from his face. “Did you get that one from your grandpa?”

“I did.” She nodded her head.

“I may not be ready to change my work situation, but call me, if you find something. Maybe I’ll be ready when you call.”

“I’ll do that.”

“Thank you, Jane.” He reached out his hand. “It was really nice to meet you.”

She took hold of his hand, squeezed hard, and let him go.

The memories from that day replayed regularly in her mind. Once she started her string of first dates, they were all compared to Rob. Not a one made her smile as easy or left her needing more like he did.

____________

There you have it. Combine that with the clue in the blurb and you’ll see our hero is being honest here, poor guy. It’s time for him to move forward. If it were only that easy.

Coming-SoonUnofficial Blurb:

Mid Week Tease – Their Lucky Day

Click to see all the Mid Week Teases here at SJsWelcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the beautiful Sandra Bunino for bringing us together.

Today, I’m sharing from my next book, In the Blind.

Last Week: I shared a look back at their cute meet. This Week: Our hero will refer to their morning commute. I haven’t shared that bit. I’ll just say, he tried to be a gentleman and the woman (not our heroine) didn’t see it that way at all, lol. Poor guy. Anywho, I’ve skipped nothing. Remember, we left them in a smushed position at the back of a crowded elevator.

____________

“Yes, I was hoping you’d walk past my table.” Her right knee and upper thigh brushed against him. “I’m so sorry.” Heat washed over her. What must he think? The crowd pushed against her back and her pussy got ever closer to her white knight.

“Would you be offended if I offered you help?”

“No.” She laughed. “But I’ve got this.” Sweat rolled down her neck.

The elevator dinged its arrival. The crowd dissipated before she could prepare herself and she fell on her ass.

“Ouch.”

“It’s not our lucky day. Is it?” He reached out, presumably to help her up, but all she saw was the ring on his finger.

____________

Oh no. A ring! Dang. Well, not so fast. There’s more to this story. Not to worry, I wouldn’t leave you hanging like that. There’s a clue in the blurb. 🙂

Coming-SoonUnofficial Blurb:

Mid Week Tease – A Smushed Cute Meet

Click to see all the Mid Week Teases here at SJsWelcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the awesome Sandra Bunino for bringing us together.

Today, I’m sharing something new from my next book, In the Blind. I’m over the moon excited about this book. I started writing it before my first contract and it’s been bugging me for its time to shine. I hope you fall in love with these two like I did.

In this tease, Jane, a head hunter, is advertising her business at a technical convention. During the morning commute she almost met our hero. Silly Jane didn’t get his name after he helped her, but fate steps in here and literally pushes them together. Enjoy!

____________

Once the lunch rush had cleared the floor, she placed her “be back in 15-minutes” card in the center of her table and made her way to the elevators. She hoped one of the food trucks was still out front. Her empty stomach needed something besides coffee.

Many of the vendors had the same idea. She barely made it onto the elevator. From her smushed spot at the front of the car, she spotted her hero from the morning commute in the back corner. Her position changed when a mass exodus at the next floor was exchanged for a new group.

Lost in the shuffle of feet, she’d almost been pushed right into her hero. She had to brace herself on the wall to her left.

“Hi,” she said to her morning savior. The crowd continued to push her closer to him until she’d raised her right foot and pushed against the back of the elevator car. It appeared she was trapping him in the corner. Her crazy position had her mere inches from him. Thankfully she had pants on and wasn’t on the verge of tearing her skirt or exposing her panties.

“I’m glad you found me again.”

____________

Our hero could have said a lot of things in this moment, lol. He decided to be a gentleman. Aw. From the start, it seems like it should be smooth sailing for these two, but not so fast. Lots of blind spots ahead.

Coming-SoonUnofficial Blurb:
