Welcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the awesome Sandra Bunino for bringing us together.
Today, I’m sharing something new from my next book, In the Blind. I’m over the moon excited about this book. I started writing it before my first contract and it’s been bugging me for its time to shine. I hope you fall in love with these two like I did.
In this tease, Jane, a head hunter, is advertising her business at a technical convention. During the morning commute she almost met our hero. Silly Jane didn’t get his name after he helped her, but fate steps in here and literally pushes them together. Enjoy!
____________
Once the lunch rush had cleared the floor, she placed her “be back in 15-minutes” card in the center of her table and made her way to the elevators. She hoped one of the food trucks was still out front. Her empty stomach needed something besides coffee.
Many of the vendors had the same idea. She barely made it onto the elevator. From her smushed spot at the front of the car, she spotted her hero from the morning commute in the back corner. Her position changed when a mass exodus at the next floor was exchanged for a new group.
Lost in the shuffle of feet, she’d almost been pushed right into her hero. She had to brace herself on the wall to her left.
“Hi,” she said to her morning savior. The crowd continued to push her closer to him until she’d raised her right foot and pushed against the back of the elevator car. It appeared she was trapping him in the corner. Her crazy position had her mere inches from him. Thankfully she had pants on and wasn’t on the verge of tearing her skirt or exposing her panties.
“I’m glad you found me again.”
____________
Our hero could have said a lot of things in this moment, lol. He decided to be a gentleman. Aw. From the start, it seems like it should be smooth sailing for these two, but not so fast. Lots of blind spots ahead.
Jane thinks she’s ready to take the risks her business and love life desperately need. Rob’s still punishing himself for a broken relationship that wasn’t meant to last. When the pair let an opportunity pass them by, fate steps in and throws them back together.
An evening of pitch black unrestrained passion at Club Blind opens her eyes to life’s possibilities. Now, if they don’t fight past their personal demons, they might never truly discover what they need most. If they can open their hearts, it might lead them directly to each other where they can discover their truth. If not, they may forever stay in the blind.

Lol, that she did. Thanks, Siobhan. 🙂
She already sees him as her hero? Interesting. I can feel her heart thumping as the crowd pushes her near… Lovely tease, S.J.
Yes, she does. I skipped over that part, but he’s already proven himself to be a hero. Well, a morning commute hero. 😉 I’m glad the movement of the crowd came across. Thanks, Stella.
