Mid Week Tease – A New Kind of Ergonomic Furniture

Last week: Colin’s assistant’s water breaks. There’s a tongue twister, lol. When Mary gets some extra towels, she find the secret door that Colin missed closing properly when he caught his first look at Mary. This week: I’ve skipped over Mary’s first thoughts on the room and when Colin finds her. I’ll just say they’re both a bit nervous about being in this room together. 🙂

____________

“There’s nothing I can do to change your mind?”

“You still want to work for me?”

Mary looked up into the ceiling and noticed the suspension rig. She most definitely wanted to work for Colin, but at the moment she couldn’t think of the reasons.

“A carpenter friend of mine makes ergonomic furniture and he has me test it out for him.” He rubbed the back of his neck.

“Did he make your St. Andrew’s cross too?” It irked her that he thought her ignorant of what went on in rooms like this. She walked over to the structure and admired the grain in the wood and the high shine of the finish. “It’s beautiful.”

“You know what that’s for?” He tilted his head.

“I know exactly what this is for.” She walked to the paddles and pointed to the largest. “I also know, I’d prefer this one over the smallest one you have there, unless you use it to make light taps along my pussy because that would be hot.” Did she just say that out loud? Heat traveled from her core straight to the tips of her ears.

He barked a laugh. “I thought you were too innocent for me.” He ambled over to her.

“Hardly, wait, wait? That’s why you didn’t want to hire me?”

“You seemed like a goody-goody to me. I’ve been working with Jen for a long time. She’s a submissive and gets that side of my nature.”

“Damn, I hadn’t thought to play my submissive card.” She pulled at her ear. “I can assure you, Mr. MacCabe, I’m not innocent.”

____________

That’s definitely not the response he was expecting, lol. I know what happens next and how it all works out and I have to say it’s quite delicious. 🙂

Mid Week Tease – A Door Left Open

Click to see all the Mid Week Teases here at SJsWelcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the beautiful Sandra Bunino for bringing us together.

This week, I’m going back to my story in the Evernight Publishing Anthology, Executive Assistant which is available now. 🙂

The last time I teased from this story, Colin’s assistant, Jen had screamed when her water broke. I’ve skipped over a fun conversation with her partner, Lori. The pair are about to leave for the hospital when Jen forgets something important. This is still in Colin’s point of view.

____________

“My purse.” Jen stopped her forward movement.

“I’ll get it.” Mary turned around in circles. “Where?”

“My bottom desk drawer.” After Mary handed the purse to Lori, “Well, your desk now. Right, Colin? You’ll hire her, right?”

“Don’t worry about that now,” Colin and Lori said in unison.

“Colin.”

“Yes, of course.” He turned to Mary

“I’ll be here until you get back. He’ll be fine.”

“Thank you.” Jen turned to Lori and they left.

The room became quiet and awkward. He looked down at the wet foot prints leading to the door.

“I’ll get more towels.” Mary left him alone.

He took a deep breath, pushed his fingers through his hair, and walked to the phone. He’d have to give Mary the option of not staying, but he hoped she’d stay. He couldn’t deny she’d acted fast which was exactly what he needed. He’d have to find a way to work around his fast growing lust for the red haired beauty. After he hung up from talking with the cleaning crew, he realized Mary hadn’t come back from the bathroom.

He went in search of her. His bathroom door was ajar and so was the panel door inside.

“Shit.”

____________

Oh boy, you remember what’s in that private room found inside his bathroom, right? I wonder what Mary’s thinking at this moment. 🙂 I know how it all works out and I have to say it’s quite delicious. 🙂

Mid Week Tease – Long Shot by Cara Bristol

Click to see all the Mid Week Teases here at SJsWelcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the awesome Sandra Bunino for bringing us together.

I’m teasing from one of my favorite authors, Cara Bristol. Love her books and she has a new release today! Long Shot isspanking romance novella. It’s part of the Corbin’s Bend series–stories by different authors set in a fictitious community in which all residents practice spanking.

The setup: In this scene, Harris, the hero,  drops in unexpectedly at the antique store where Abby is arranging new inventory of  vintage spanking implements. On impulse, Harris buys an antique spanking bench. He and Abby have met, but don’t know each well at this point.

click to see Long Shot on Goodreads

Long Shot Tease:

“Would you like it delivered or will you carry it with you?” She sounded all-business now.

“I think I can handle it.”

“Would you like any paddles with that?” she asked in the same voice a burger flipper would suggest fries as an accompaniment.

“Good idea. Pick one out for me,” he replied. He already owned a cache of implements, but a strong curiosity demanded to see what she would choose.

“Oh, I doubt I’m the right person to do that.”

He approached her until he stood a step away. The scent of strawberries teased his nose. “I’ll give you a choice. You can select a paddle, or you can tell me why you didn’t tell your aunt the bench was for me.”

“I don’t know why.”

“That’s your answer?” He cocked his head and folded his arms.

She wet her lips and looked everywhere but at him. “What kind of paddle would you prefer?”

“What kind would you recommend?” he countered, knowing full well she had no idea of the differences.

“Well…” Abby moved to the wall where she’d hung the paddles with  care on coat racks. “We have uh, this kind.” She pointed to a smooth wooden ping pong style.

“A solid choice to cover a lot of surface area,” he said. “What else?”

“This one has holes.” She gestured to another.

He shook his head. “Too stingy.” For a beginner.  Abby might have a secret spanking fetish, but she was still a virgin, so to speak.

“They’re all here.” Blushing profusely, she swept a graceful arm across the row of paddles like Vanna White lighting up a new Wheel of Fortune puzzle. “And over there.” She gestured to a washstand upon which several more rested and hung from the carved towel holder.

“That one’s leather.”  She unhooked more generous oblong-shaped one, and traced the edge before smoothing her hand over the flat surface. He’d been right about her liking for leather. He suppressed a grin and watched her caress the paddle blade. Her skin appeared pale next to the darkness of the hide, her nails on the short side, but painted pink. Spanked ass pink. He bit back a growl.

“Let me see.” Harris stepped over a pile of wadded newspapers. His cock pressed against the zipper of his jeans. He allowed his gaze to slide down to her chest, rising and falling. Her nipples formed beads underneath her ecru lace poet-style blouse. Leather and lace. Hard and soft. Masculine and feminine. Sexy.

He scanned her face. An answering desire swirled in her hazel eyes, but she wet her lips nervously. Seeing her tiny tongue flick over her lips cinched his intention. He’d offered to buy the bench on a whim, on a fantasy. But he would see her kneeling over it.

As he took the paddle, he allowed a finger to brush against the softness of hers. He squeezed the reinforced handle, testing the grip. Good fit. Abby’s mouth had parted, and her eyes riveted on the implement.

He snapped it against his thigh. CRACK! Abby jumped. His cock ached.

“This one.” He decided.  “How much?” Didn’t matter. He’d pay any price. Seeing the fascination on her face made it worth any and every penny she asked.

“Sixty dollars.”

“You don’t need to check with your aunt?” he teased.

“She gave me carte blanche to price smaller items.”

He pulled out his wallet and handed his credit card and the paddle.  “I’ll carry the bench to the register.”

Abby scurried to the front and rang up his purchases, using both an old manual cash register and a very modern credit card scanner. With amusement, he watched as she wrapped the paddle in tissue paper as if it was a fine piece of china and then bagged it.

“Thank you for shopping at Auntie Q’s,” she said politely.

Harris tucked his swaddled purchase under his arm, then picked up the bench. She hurried ahead to open the door.

He peered down at her. “Have you ever been spanked, Abby Delaney?” he asked in low voice.

Long Shot Blurb

Abby Delaney moves to Corbin’s Bend to work at her aunt’s antique store to recover from a painful divorce. She gets more than expected when she meets sexy, charming Harris Montgomery, a local businessman and tennis pro, a man who seems to be the exact opposite of her ex-husband. Through Harris, she discovers her submissive side when he introduces her to spanking good times, and she begins to trust herself again.  But when the relationship progresses to a deeper level, she discovers Harris and her ex share more in common than she’d thought. With future happiness on the line, can she risk surrendering her heart on a long shot?

Mid Week Tease – Find Your Courage and Take A Chance

Click to see all the Mid Week Teases here at SJsWelcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the fabulous Sandra Bunino for bringing us together.

Today, I’m sharing from TAKING COURAGE, Love Projects 2 which is releasing tomorrow from Evernight Publishing! SQUEE 😀

This is also my official “take a chance day“. One year ago today, I submitted a manuscript that would be my debut release. Aw! I still remember my crazy nerves from that day and the waiting afterwards, but it was all worth it. TAKING CHANCES, Love Projects 1 found a wonderful home with Evernight Publishing. So, this is your reminder, take a chance, TODAY!

This tease is from the beginning of TAKING COURAGE. Janna has finally found the courage to enter a BDSM club, but she forgot to mention one very important thing to her Dom for the evening.

____________

“Head up now.” Something was agitating the tender bundle in his arms. Simon wanted to help her through it. He may have taken a step back on his training responsibilities since his last experience, but Janna felt perfect under his hand. He’d have to find out if she’d be back.

“Yes, Sir.”

“What’s troubling you, pet?”

“I forgot to mention something earlier.” She tucked the blanket under her chin.

“Oh?” He rubbed in big circles around her back. “Why don’t you tell me now?”

“This was my first time, Sir.”

“Your first?” His confusion was thick. She tried to hide her eyes from him, but he saw shame. Sometimes newer submissives struggled with firsts. “Is this your first time being a guest?”

“Yes, Sir.”

“Is your home club much different?” The safe rules of BDSM clubs were pretty universal, a real gift to traveling kinksters, but sometimes a scene in a different setting could be unsettling.

“I don’t have a home club, Sir. Well, not one that I physically visit.” She rubbed the edge of her blanket. “I’m an active member of their chat rooms.”

He hadn’t heard her right. No. She felt like an experienced submissive. Was she just playing the part? Anger ticked a quick pace up his spine.

“Are you telling me I just gave you your first scene?”

“Yes, Sir.”

“Why did you withhold this information?” When she didn’t answer he added, “Why weren’t you honest with me?” He pushed her slightly, in part to get some distance and to keep her safe from him. “Answer me, now.”

“I forgot. It all happened so fast, and I forgot one of my lines.”

“Lines.” He finished shoving her from his lap and stood. “I hope you had fun tonight.”

“I did, Sir,” she said as she stood to join him. She tugged at the edge of the blanket that had stuck in the couch. “Please, let me thank you for tonight.”

“There is no need. You lied to me, and you had your fun.” He scratched his brow. “Go home now.” He took two storming steps away and stopped. He forced himself to return to her, disgusted by how good it felt to see her face once more. He stopped within an inch, forcing her to look up. “Do yourself a favor. Enter that club at home, get yourself in a training program, and do not ever lie to a Dom again.”

He wanted to hit something. What was it with submissives and their lies? The lie might have been smaller this time, but it was still a lie.

He thundered past the scene areas and kept walking, increasing his speed. Folks saved themselves and moved out of his way. Fury radiated down his arms curling his fingers into fists, almost there.

Some members thought Keller was crazy when he’d installed the small gym next to the club. When the roster quickly filled, it was Keller that was laughing all the way to the bank. Simon had a regular date with the bag hanging in the corner. He may no longer enter the ring, but the regimented workouts kept him strong and centered.

A couple more steps and he’d entered the gym and saw the innocent bag hanging right where he needed it to be. He slammed his fist into the bag. Pressure reverberated from his hand straight to his heart, but it didn’t release the revulsion.

“Damn her.”

He needed to get this out and get back on the floor. One of his best friends was about to collar his sub. The bag swung around. He walked around it and rolled his shoulders back. He wanted to witness the happiness a pair could have when things worked out and no one lied.

It was just a scene, something he could shake off, and she was just a guest sub. There was no possible way she could have felt as right as he thought. The anger was tricking him. She was just another lying sub. A sub to forget. A sub he would never see again.

“Damn her.”

An image of her regret filled face tugged at his resolve. His fingers flexed as he remembered her velvet channel. His cock twitched, and he hit the bag again.

 ____________

Oh boy! It looks like it’s not just Janna that’s in for a rough ride. Not to worry, It won’t be long before these two are back in the same room and sparks are flying. What a ride. I loved writing these two! TAKING COURAGE releases tomorrow. I hope you get a chance to read it. 😀

taking-courage400x267TAKING COURAGE Blurb:

Janna’s ready to make over her life and get out from under the controlling thumb of her father. She doesn’t want another failed arranged marriage. She’s ready to do whatever it takes for the career she wants, enter the lifestyle she craves, and to earn the trust and love of the man that has captured her heart, but heartbreak and career hiccups seem to be her destiny.

Simon’s still recovering after his last submissive lied her way into his life. He’s not ready for Janna and how she pushes against his prejudices. He needs to decide if he’s willing to lose her or if he’ll fight for her love and submission.

Mid Week Tease – Time to Choose

This week, I’m going back to my story in the upcoming Evernight Publishing Anthology releasing June 20th.

I’ve teased three times already from this story. Once from Colin’s private dungeon found through a secret passage in his office. Another when Mary arrives for her interview and appears to be not what he expected and finally from when Mary tries to change his mind.

Colin is interviewing Mary because his assistant is due to give birth very soon. Her name is Jen. Today’s tease includes the very next lines in their conversation. This is still in Colin’s point of view.

____________

“You want to work for me?”

“Why wouldn’t I?”

“I can be inflexible and stubborn.” He could be a damn fool for lusting over the first applicant that walked through the door.

“I’ve also heard you called controlling, fiercely loyal, successful, and even extravagant.”

“True.” She’d done her homework.

A scream wrenched through the air, coming from his lobby.

“Jen.” He got up from his desk and ran.

He found her standing at her copier over a puddle of water.

____________

I think her water broke, lol. I hope Colin has changed his mind about Mary because his assistant is going on leave right now. Problem is, these two are destined to misjudge and unravel each forward movement. I know how it all works out and I have to say it’s quite delicious. 🙂

Mid Week Tease – Love Me Now

MidWeekTeaseWelcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the beautiful Sandra Bunino for bringing us together.

This week, I’m sharing more from my flash fiction series, the love story of Roxanne and Jonathon.

Last Week: I shared the first sign that everything is not as it seems. Today’s tease occurs a few weeks later. They’re officially on the run from the fates. Let’s see what Roxanne thinks of all this running.

____________

RandJ box

 Love Me Now

They’d been running for weeks, never staying more than a night in one place. The stress of the schedule had worn her out. Jonathon was once again packing their bags. Tonight, they’d start traveling east.

Roxanne looked out the hotel window. The streets were filled with folks enjoying the sunny spring day. A group had gathered around the fountain. They seemed not to have a care in the world.

“Can’t we stay for one more night? We only got to Scotland yesterday.” She ran her finger along the dew on the window.

“It’s too much of a risk. They’ll find us if we linger.”

“Jonathon.” She waited a heartbeat, letting him finish folding one more shirt. Waiting for his attention burned a hole straight through her heart. She wanted to rip the shirt in two. “Jonathon,” she cried out.

He carefully set the shirt in the bag and sat on the edge of the bed. “I’m sorry, honey. I don’t know what else to do. I won’t lose you.”

“If all we do is run, then they’ve already won.” She knelt at his feet and took hold of his hands. “I love you. I want to live my life with you. I want us to live.”

“You’re right.” He stood, took hold of her nape, and pulled her to him.

“Oh.” She pressed her body against him as heat rushed over her.

“Even if we only have one more day together, I want to fill it by looking into your eyes, kissing your sweet lips.” He claimed her mouth, tangled his tongue with hers, and then kissed a trail to her ear. “And feeling your sweet heat gripping me.”

“Oh, Jonathon.” She clung to him.

“Thank you for reminding me our love is now.”

Safety First

“Jonathon, look. He has little pictures back here.” Roxanne dragged her gaze over each little beauty. Strong arms wrapped around her and Jonathon snuggled close. His public displays of affection were just one of the many reasons she loved about him.

Love.

She swayed as warmth spread through her limbs. In such a short time, Jonathon had become a life necessity. She could no longer imagine life without him.

“Is it odd that the photographer has captured so many of the places we’ve been?”

Jonathon stilled.

“What is it, honey?”

“It is strange and I’m not sure what to make of it.” He looked towards the back of the shop. The door opened to a little room, but no door, just a barred window.

“You’re starting to scare me. What’s going on?” She pulled at his arms and finally grabbed hold of his chin. “Jonathon?”

“I think we should leave as quietly as we came in. No eye contact with the clerk, okay?”

“Fine, but then you need to tell me what’s going on.”

He leaned in and gave her a sweet chasted kiss. “Fine, but I want you safe first.”

Mid Week Tease – Lucky in Love

MidWeekTeaseWelcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the amazing Sandra Bunino for bringing us together.

Lucky in Love

It had only been two weeks since Roxanne met Jonathon, but she was smitten. She turned to find him drawing in the snow. A couple of kids ran by him and trashed his work of art. The chuckle that bellowed out of him settled inside her heart like the comfort of warm apple pie. She loved that he was able to appreciate everyone’s joy and not just his own.

When he looked up, he seemed to be searching the park. She waved her arm over her head. Relief appeared to wash over him when he found her.

“How did I get so lucky?” She blew him a kiss and walked towards him.

One of his eyebrows raised and his smile turned devilish. Then she noticed the ball of snow forming in his hands.

“Oh no. Jonathon, not again.” She took off across the park. He was lucky she already loved him.

Mid Week Tease – The Day He Met Her

MidWeekTeaseWelcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the fabulous Sandra Bunino for giving me something to look forward to.

This week, I’m sharing something different. Since last August, I’ve been writing a series of flash fiction pieces about the love story of Roxanne and Jonathon.

I haven’t been writing them in order and I have a lot more of their story to share. Their tale is set in motion by a group called the fates and Roxanne and Jonathon are simply pawns in their game. Today’s tease reveals a little about Jonathon’s situation when he travels through time and falls at Roxanne’s feet.

____________

RandJ box

A Cold Cute Meet

Jonathon wandered the streets. Up and down, he weaved a senseless pattern. He stopped at the top of the hill, turned around, and watched the movement below until it disappeared into the fog.

This time and place was just as monotonous as the last. There was nothing here to capture his interest, no sign of what he was truly looking for. The cars may look faster and the architecture was definitely getting more interesting, but it didn’t deter him.

The fates claimed he’d find her soon. They were determined to prove love wasn’t real, that it couldn’t last. His kind were just a piece in their little game.

Since that day they’d given him a glimpse of her, he couldn’t get her out of his thoughts. He wondered first what her voice would sound like and then he began to think about how soft her hair would be. Then, he worried she wouldn’t like him. Of course, if he believed the fates, it wouldn’t matter because he wouldn’t love her anyway.

A piercing light split through his mind. Moments later, a chill traveled through him and snow kissed his cheeks. He turned in a circle, caring nothing for when and where, only hoping he’d find her in this place, but there was nothing.  He continued to look, there had to be something in this freezing city.

Movement caught his attention and he turned back around. He lost his footing and slipped on the cold pavement, landing right on his ass.

“Are you okay?”

He looked up into the beautiful blue eyes that had been enchanting his dreams.

Book Boyfriend Blog Hop!
MidWeekTeaseWelcome to hump day my friends. Thank you to the amazing Sandra Bunino for giving me something to look forward to.

I’m taking a step back in time and sharing from my debut release, Taking Chances. The hero, Jake Reed is currently up for your consideration in Evernight’s Book Boyfriend blog hop.

I’m sharing a snippet from Jake’s point of view near the beginning of their story. Lydia has him all worked up and after some ribbing from his buddies, he’s taking matters into his own hands. 😉 Enjoy.

____________

Jake mumbled all the way to the shower about why he put up with his buddies. Once he got undressed and in the shower his mind wandered to the woman waiting for him downstairs. The cold water pounding his back didn’t help his now throbbing cock. He stroked himself a few times and knew instantly he would need to finish himself off if he hoped to calm his nerves.

Turning the water to scalding he tugged on his cock in quick strokes. His fingers slipped over the slick head and back to the base. He imagined Lydia on her back before him, waiting patiently for his command. His cock thickened in his hand. She would stare into his eyes with intensity similar to what he’d seen today. A tug on his sack threw him right over the edge. He continued to stroke himself and wondered what her moans would sound like. Would they be throaty and low or high and squealing?

BLURB:

Lydia’s father walked away from her when she was eight. She’s struggled to not let him affect her, but fears she wasn’t loveable enough to make him stay. Jake wants to takingchances1mlove one woman, but after scaring the last woman he met outside of the club, he doubts he has the right. She protects her heart by sticking with her fantasies, and he lives by a set of rules that excludes women who choose a vanilla lifestyle.

The two will be kept in a conference room working together until their special project is complete. If Lydia and Jake hold tight to their bland lives, they’ll always yearn for love that is out of reach. But together they can find common ground, passion, and a reason to take chances. Once they discover the grand possibilities of the love they desire, they find themselves in the very place they tried never to be again, facing unguaranteed love.
