Lizzie, a New Orleans native and recent college graduate, has come to a standstill in her first relationship. She loves Nicholas, a young law student, but because of his misplaced religious notions, he refuses to be sexual with her. They live in the most sexual city in the States yet he refuses to even French kiss her.

After their turbulent breakup, Lizzie flees to the Vieux Carre for comfort food. She’s unaware that Nicholas has followed her into one of the Quarter’s bakery shops. The place is a strange, old-fashioned sweet-shop, deserted except for the proprietress who escorts them into a private drawing room. Lizzie and Nicholas decide to share a bowl of banana pudding and end up sharing a great deal more.

Spotlight: Stalking the Pharmacist (Perfect Pairs Series Book 2) by Tamsin Baker

Click the Spotlight image to see all the Spotlights here at SJs

stalking-pharmcistBlurb:

On the surface, Ashleigh had it all—money, a great career, and a successful husband. But behind closed doors, life wasn’t so pretty. Now she’s free, and determined to never let herself be vulnerable again. So when she gets an invite to her cousin’s wedding, she jumps at the chance to get away. The small town nestled at the base of the Rocky Mountains seems like the perfect place to unwind and start forgetting about her abusive ex-husband. The last thing she expects to see is her beloved cousin Laura marrying two men, and to find herself irrationally attracted to a pair of twins.

Scientist Scott and football coach Jack are a perfect pair of mountain lion shifters who made the horrible decision when they were young to break from tradition. Each married a woman who made his life miserable, rather than search for their destined mate. Now in their forties, they’ve all but given up on finding their mate—until they see her. All the signs show that Ash is their true mate. Jack is eager and ready to chase, but Scott’s scars run deep. Will they be able to overcome the past and create a new future?

Excerpt:

“Hey, Aunt Rosalie. Congratulations on finally marrying those two off.”

Jack kissed the woman, and Ash gulped air into her lungs. What on earth had happened outside when Jack and his twin, Scott, had touched her? It had been like they’d reached inside her and attached electrodes to her soul, shooting pleasure into her belly and destroying her ability to hold her own body weight. If Jack hadn’t stepped forward when he had, she would have ended up on the ground, a pulsing mess of sensations.

“Yeah, well they had to wait for the right woman to come along, didn’t they, Jack?”

Something almost stern in Rosalie’s tone snapped Ash’s attention back to their conversation and she watched a slash of red color Jack’s handsome face.

“Yes, they were much smarter than I.”

Oh, so he was married? He wasn’t wearing a ring, although that wasn’t a given for all men. Divorced, then? Or had he let someone go?

Rosalie turned back to her, blue eyes glowing with warmth.

“Jack have you met Laura’s cousin Ash? She’s a pharmacist from Toronto.”

Ash’s belly tightened as Jack’s sparkling ocean-blue eyes met hers, a smile tilting up his full lips.

“I did, outside for a moment, though I didn’t realize she was a pharmacist.”

Ash swallowed the lump that had risen in her throat and straightened her shoulders. She could do this. Conduct a conversation with a man she couldn’t keep her eyes off.

“What do you do, Jack?”

He grinned at her, that smile lighting its way down into the pit of her belly, pulling on an area between her thighs that Ash had believed had died a long time ago. After her ex-husband had done such a good job of destroying her self-esteem, she hadn’t thought a man would ever truly appeal to her again.

She squeezed her thighs together and almost gasped at the jolt of longing that just being so close to this man brought her. She’d never believed in lust at first sight, but this had to be it!

“I’m a football coach for the local high school. I played pro ball for a few years after college.”

Ash’s blood cooled like the heat had never been. He said that with such arrogance, as though it was actually impressive! She frowned and looked away. What was the easiest way of escaping? Maybe say she needed to go to the toilet?

“Oh, that’s nice. Would you excuse me? Rosalie, could you tell me where the bathroom is, please?”

Jack’s eyes went wide and his mouth fell open slightly.

Yeah, I’m not impressed by the fact that you can kick a bloody ball around, buddy.

She smiled at Rosalie and tried to ignore the odd pain in her gut. Why would she want to stay and talk to a footballer, for God’s sake? Thick as a brick and more focused on his body than anything of importance.

Rosalie’s eyes widened as though she were shocked by Ash’s reaction, but Ash wasn’t budging. How stupid did they think she was to fall for the charm of a philanderer? Ash waited for the information she’d requested, smiling as sweetly as possible at her hostess.

“Head down the hallway there, and it’s the third door on the left.”

Ash gave Jack a half smile and bobbed her head. “Nice to meet you.”

She turned on her heel for the second time in ten minutes and headed off in the direction Rosalie had sent her.

The house was incredible. The ceilings were high and the rooms were spacious, yet had that cozy home feel that only special people managed. She stopped outside the bathroom and stared at the framed picture on the wall. It was of Tyler and Brandon, about fifteen years earlier. They were lanky and their noses were too big, yet their smiles were exactly the same. Cheeky and oh-so-charming. Her cousin was a lucky woman, indeed. Assuming of course they didn’t turn into the arrogant pigs most men could be. Though judging by their mother, they’d be skinned alive if they did.

“I love that photo.”

Rosalie had snuck up behind her and poked her nose over Ash’s shoulder.

Ash turned and smiled at the proud mother. “My cousin seems very happy, Rosalie. I’m so glad she’s found someone…ah…” Laura was sorta married to both of them, right? Ash had read the invitation wrong and turned up two hours early. She’d been shocked at first to see two grooms surrounding her cousin, but Laura’s happiness had been so evident, it was impossible to judge her harshly.   “I mean, men who will look after her, love her.”

Rosalie swiveled so she was blocking Ash’s escape into the bathroom, her abundant figure beautiful in its feminine shapes.

“She is, but so are they.”

Ash nodded. “I don’t know your sons at all, but I do know Laura. That woman is a gem.”

Rosalie crossed her arms over her impressive bust and looked at her with intense eyes. Ash cocked her head at the older woman.

“Is there something you want to tell me, Rosalie?”

Rosalie’s beautiful eyes were troubled as she worried her lower lip with her teeth.

“My sons are a perfect pair. Which means that they are perfect compliments to each other, in both looks and personality. Pretty much think of it as your perfect man, divided into two.”

Ashleigh laughed, the bubbles spreading through her belly and out. She had to cover her mouth with her hand, she was so loud.

“Well, in my experience that would be the only way to get a halfway decent man.”

Rosalie frowned at her, and Ash stopped laughing. That was probably too much information for a woman she barely knew.

“Jack and Scott are a perfect pair also, so please don’t dismiss Jack because you think he isn’t educated enough. He has a college degree, but chooses to spend his life educating young men about the strength of their bodies. Scott is a scientist with the government, he chose a different path.”

Heat seared a path up Ash’s neck and blossomed across her face. The tone Rosalie had just taken with her could only be called chastising, and she was feeling it right down to her sickened belly.

Guilty as charged.

“I don’t like football, or footballers, Rosalie. I have just endured a very nasty divorce, so please excuse my rude behavior. I’m not interested in anyone, especially two men who…”

She trailed off, her cross-referencing brain pulling together fibers she wasn’t sure she should.

Two men! Oh my God!

She took a breath and stared directly into Rosalie’s blue eyes, seeing the truth there before she even asked the dreaded question.

“Rosalie, do all perfect pairs marry one woman?”

She placed her hands on her hips and barely stopped herself from tapping her foot when Rosalie looked down for a moment.

Then the woman looked back up, her mouth tight as she nodded. “Yes. They are designed to find one perfect woman for them.”

Oh God, no.

The outgoing and sexual adventurous Jay Hodges is more than willing to sate Will’s craving for her beautiful ass, all the while satisfying cravings of her very own.

Get to know J.S.

J.S. Snow began her literary obsession at the tender age of eleven with the first voluntarily read book Dear God It’s Me Margaret by Judy Blum. Only a few years later her fascination with fictional offerings really took root as she stepped into the mind of one of her hero’s Stephen King through his work Christine.

Now that her fascination with fictional literature has firmly taken root, she is now seriously considering a twelve step program for her e-reader addiction, feeds her fascination of fiction with new literary offerings via her coveted e-reader, has a passion for dark chocolate, sweet tea and Heavy Metal music. She is the proud mother of a downright spectacular daughter (who was head banging in the belly) and lives with the belief that the mind where the imagination lives is a far more entertaining place than TV or movies ever will be.

J.S. Snow currently resides in Central Florida and has been in the administrative office field for twenty eight years.

This sexiest food is:

There is nothing sexier in my opinion that freshly picked and cut fruit. Something about the natural and erotic juices that flows from each piece keeps the mind constantly wandering and wondering.

Five things you’d be surprised to know about me:

1. I wanted to be one of the first woman allowed to serve in military combat.
2. I am a tree hugging, save the spotted owl, birkenstock wearing liberal originally from the pacific northwest and will NEVER apologize for that.
3. I revel in the rare moments when I can say, “I finally figured it out.”
4. Little kids freak me out, in fact, I don’t really like them at all. Glad mine is now twenty-one.
5. I have hundreds of small panic attacks, every, single, day.

The sexiest place in the world is:

In the middle of the Moab desert, in a tent. Why? So when I really let loose, there’s no one pounding on the wall asking me to shut the hell up.

Feast on Me by Terri George

Stand-alone Erotic Short-Story
Contemporary Erotic Romance Ménage
#contemporary, #erotic, #romance, #kink, #erotica, #ménage,

They have the perfect marriage. They are happy.
There’s nothing he wouldn’t do to keep her.
There’s nothing she wouldn’t do for him. Even agreeing to the ultimate test of her love.
But will their love survive it?

Get to know Terri

From a small child, Terri George has loved to lose herself in stories. She’s a firm believer that if heaven exists, it contains every novel ever written and has big squishy sofas to curl up on and read for all eternity. Her comedy play, The Magazine was performed at The Bush Theatre in London and her poetry has been published in several anthologies. However, what she really wanted to write were novels. With several unfinished manuscripts languishing in the depths of her computer’s hard drive, it was her discovery of erotic romance that led her to the realisation this is the genre she should be writing.

As English as they come, Terri couldn’t survive without tea. From Rachmaninov to Aerosmith her taste in music is best described as eclectic. And she makes a mean chocolate cake.

The sexiest food is:

Slivers of succulent fruit are SO sensual. Feeding them to your partner… all those juices running down your fingers (and who know where else) just begging to be licked off…And don’t we all agree that chocolate is seriously sexy? Why? Because eating the stuff produces all those delicious endorphins and the phenylethylamines in chocolate releases dopamine into the same pleasure centres of the brain as an orgasm does. And think of the fun that can be had with chocolate body paint!

Five things you’d be surprised to know about me:

  • It may not seem it from my FB posts, but in RL I can actually be quite shy. A small gathering of people I can handle, but parties – especially those where I only know the person I’m going with or who’s giving it – terrify me.
  • Although I like to cut loose every once in a while, truth be told I’m a homebody. Apart from the obvious reasons, that’s why I’d love to be a full-time writer. I could stay home in my PJs writing, reading and laughing with my friends on Facebook.
  • I hate promoting myself. Maybe it’s the shyness kicking in or something to do with me being English. We see self promotion as bragging and boasting. Two very undesirable attributes to have.
  • I don’t know how surprising this is and certainly people who know me know this about me, but I’ve been vegetarian for over twenty years. It’s not that I have a problem with eating animals per se, but I do have a huge problem with how animals are kept and slaughtered. And the thought of wearing fur is anathema to me.
  • Okay time to confess – even at the risk of offending. I don’t believe in God. I’d always struggling with the concept of God, but after reading Richard Dawkins’ The God Delusion I breathed a huge sigh of relief realising it was okay not to believe. If your faith brings you comfort then I’m happy for you. Just don’t ram it down my throat. You see how this works? You have the right to believe and I have the right to not believe. So please don’t take my non-belief as a personal insult.

Sexiest place on earth is:

Okay I’m going to cheat here. Why do you need to be somewhere exotic for a sexy interlude as this question implies? I’m a firm believer that it’s not where you are, but who you’re with that matters. Great sex doesn’t require an exotic backdrop. If you’re with the right person and all you’re thinking about is that person and how good it feels then locale is irrelevant.

Excerpt:

My nerve endings stirred as the subtle scent of sandalwood wafted across the table time and again. What man used sandalwood-scented soap anymore? By the cut of his suit and the Rolex on his wrist, Ryan Walsh had money. And plenty of it. Why no expensive cologne? The chick-lure nectar of the gods his type bathed in?
He grinned again, and heat filled the empty place only Mr. Pink had seen or stroked in two years. Ryan’s attention drifted to my lips and lingered as our waiter took his time pouring our wine.
I forced myself to breathe as my treasonous nipples pebbled, begging for attention.
Damnation. I do not want this.

He was too friggin’ sexy for his own good. And by his suggestive grin and the twinkle in his eyes, he knew it too.
“Are you ready to order, Lia?” Ryan asked, his focus staying on my face instead of dipping downward like most men’s did.
Praying my voice didn’t betray my arousal, I turned my attention the waiter. “I’ll have the shrimp Fra Diavlo.”
“And for you, sir?”
Ryan spouted off a few words in Italian, never once breaking eye contact with me.
My lips twitched. Papa would be impressed.
When the waiter ambled away, a smile—a real smile, not the cocky, you-know-you-want-me ones he had offered until then—revealed straight, white teeth.  “So.”
His low voice caressed my ears, and I pressed my thighs together. Thank God I hadn’t shaved. No doubt he had little trouble getting women into his bed. Or their bed. Or against a wall.
Holy shit.

Excerpt 1:

Petúr’s long coat flared out behind him, whipping in the wind—black raven wings. Above him, the moon danced in and out of existence and periodically hid behind the dreary clouds. He’d perched himself atop the rusted metal monstrosity which sat cold and derelict among the ruins of the abandoned seaside amusement park. From the top of the lifeless Ferris wheel he surveyed his realm, just as he did every night, waiting for the faint cries. They always came, those haunting cries, and called him and the lost boys into the darkness.

Cables clacked and Petúr tilted his head in a bird-like gesture, listening to them echo into the rhythmic music of the tide coming ashore. As if on cue, an eerie underlying chorus chimed in from the direction of the closed ticket booth. He recognized the sound of the warped roof when it moaned and creaked. The red painted exterior walls had long since faded and peeled away from the briny wood in elongated streaks, reminiscent of morbid tears.

He closed his eyes and attempted to picture this place he and the others called home, trying to imagine what it must have been during its glory days, but he couldn’t see anything. All he knew was the truth of his surroundings. And, the truth was, with every passing year more of his home crumbled. Even the entrance into this collapsing kingdom had joined the sea, snuffing out the arched sign which once upon a time blinked—Neverland—Mother Nature’s way of taking back her own when she’d claimed a major portion of the boardwalk.

Everything ends.

At least this parcel of land had done one thing. It gave Petúr and the others refuge from a world who’d discarded them as young boys.

He chuckled, darkly, and allowed his mind to wander away from the image of being a boy. He, Firefox, and his five other brothers may still exhibit the outward beauty of youthfulness, yet this was nothing but a façade. They’d grown into fierce warriors and protected the very people who’d spat upon them in their youth. Who would still spit upon them if they got the chance, he suspected.

Shaking his head, Petúr considered what he’d heard the whole of his life may indeed be true. He and the others may well be mad, because only madmen would fight to protect those who would never welcome them fully into the human world they’d had the misfortune of being a part of.

Balling his fists into tight knots, he knew it didn’t matter how many lives he and the others saved. They were still different from those whom they rescued. And, while they may no longer be petty thieves and beggars, they’d always been, and still were—outcasts. Unnatural. Freaks. Something more. Something not human. Although, there wasn’t a damn thing they could do about it, other than to take out their fury on those darklings who sought to destroy the weaker inhabitants of the human race. And take out their fury—they would.

“AAaiiee!”

Petúr abruptly stood when he heard a woman’s distressed scream. He took in a deep breath, tasting the flavor of the night. His lip curled up into a snarl right before he stepped off of his perch, shot into the clouds, and vanished into thin air.

Little does she know, her pool cabana mate is none other than famous chef and restaurateur, Gianna Lucini, who introduces her to the world of great food and forbidden passion.

Life as a jet-set chef isn’t all it’s cracked up to be for Gianna. Like her restaurants, she insists on control in the bedroom and her tastes run anything but plain vanilla. She’s ready to give up on love until Tessa serves up an offer Gianna can’t turn down.

Excerpt:

“Mark has another talent you’re sure to enjoy. I’m going to take over for him so he can show you. Just keep an open mind and let yourself go, Tessa.” Her slow words mesmerized me as her strong fingers took over and Mark let go. Her hands were small and soft in comparison to his. Gianna’s fingers traveled across my shoulder blades, loosening tight muscles along the way. I grabbed the edge of the table and slid my chair back a few inches. “Relax,” Gianna whispered. Mark moved to my side and casually leaned against the table. He picked up my hand and rubbed small circles around the sensitive area where my thumb met my palm.

“You have a hard time letting go. Don’t you, Tessa?” he asked.

I took a deep breath and reached for my glass of wine, hoping it’d provide much needed liquid courage. Mark grabbed my other hand before it could capture the wineglass.

“You don’t need that to relax. Let me help you.” His graveled voice rumbled its way through my body and stoked the heat settling low in my belly.

My chair suddenly moved out further and he stepped between my knees, facing me. His gaze moved from me to above my head where Gianna stood. She continued her ministrations on my tight muscles. Mark smiled and his gaze moved back to me. His fingers rubbed the inside of my palm in unison with Gianna’s hands at my shoulders. I’d never had two people touching me in this way before. Every cell of my body stood at attention. Like the rhythm of a gentle ocean, their hypnotic caresses washed away any lingering insecurity.

Waves of pleasure coursed through my body in the secluded room smack in the middle of one of the busiest hotels in Vegas. I should’ve been embarrassed by the attention. I should’ve got up and walked away. Things like that don’t happen to me. However, my ass might as well have been crazy-glued to the chair, because I wasn’t moving. The tablecloth brushed over my bare legs as Mark let go of one of my hands and his fingers brushed my thigh. He lowered his muscled body to his knees as Gianna gathered my hair into a ponytail. Her fingers raked through my scalp while Mark’s fingers drew imaginary lines from my knee to high on the inside of my thigh and back again. I swallowed hard as my pulse quickened. I was sure Gianna could see how fast my heart was beating when she pulled my hair and coaxed my face upward to meet her stare.

She smiled down at me. “I want you to clear your mind and just enjoy the moment. Can you do that for me?”

I nodded and closed my eyes. A flash of pain gripped my scalp as Gianna tightened her hold on my hair. My eyelids flew open and I met her crystal-blue gaze that was the color of a Caribbean ocean.

“Be here with me, Tessa. Don’t escape into yourself. I want your eyes on me, or Mark. Believe me, it will make the experience incredible.”

I nodded again and she loosened the grip she had on my hair. Mark’s tongue had replaced his fingers and he left a warm, wet trail on the inside of my thigh. He released my other hand and both of his hands were making their way up the tops of my thighs and under my short skirt.

Gazing at me, his eyes burned hot and he shot me a grin. “Lift up a little, sweetheart.”

I did as he asked and my lacy underwear was quickly swept from me, losing my shoes in the process. His palms cupped my knees, nudging them farther apart. A wave of insecurity washed over me as his gaze shifted to my sex.

“Remember what I said. Relax and enjoy.” Gianna’s voice filled my ear.

Top Ten with Elyzabeth M. VaLey author of Arcanus Amator

Arcanus Amator by +Elyzabeth M. VaLey
Genre: Fantasy, Erotic, Romance on the Go

As an Arcánús, one of Cupid’s blessed children, Amandus’s mission in life was to aid his father in bestowing love upon others.Unfortunately, when he found his own soul mate he was incapable of making her perceive their connection. Furthermore, she doomed their love forever. Amandus’s only hope is a spell concocted by Cupid: The Arcánús Amator: Spell of the Secret Lovers.

Hailey is desperate for love. She’s so desperate that when she finds a spell on the internet that promises to connect soul mates, she decides she must try it. Convincing her friend Hannah to help her, the girls embark on a one-night craze that will produce life-changing results and bring to life what was thought to be only a myth.

“From forth the fatal loins of these two foes,
A pair of star-cross’d lovers take their life”  — Romeo and Juliet

Sometimes the stars align and two individuals that might not have met otherwise, cross each other’s path and fall in love. Sometimes, that love ends well. Other times, it ends tragically. However, that doesn’t make it any less passionate or intense.

As Alfred Lord Tennyson said, ‘Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

Whether it ends in a HEA or with tragedy, the star crossed lovers love is one that goes beyond life. Romeo and Juliet are the most popular pair of Star-crossed lovers, but there are others like them. Others that have loved and suffered and will be remembered forever.

  1. Romeo and Juliet from The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare.
  2. Paris and Helen of Troy from Greek mythology
  3. Scarlett O´Hara and Rhett Butler from Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell.
  4. Dracula and Mina from Dracula by Bram Stoker.
  5. Kira Argounova and Leo Kovalensky from We the Living by Ayn Rand.
  6. Amy Foster and Yanko Góral from the film Swept from the Sea
  7. Beren and Luthien from The Tale of Beren and Luthien by JRR Tolkien.
  8. Jack & Rose from the film Titanic.
  9. Buffy and Angel from the series Buffy, the vampire Slayer.
  10. Sam and Molly from the film Ghost.

My character’s Amandus and Hailey could’ve been in this list. Their love was doomed almost before it began. Centuries passed. Desperation consumed them. Until… the spell of the Secret Lovers came to be…

She frowned. “What the hell’s happened?” She was quite sure this was not how the spell worked. Granted, she hadn’t exactly read the entire information sheet on the website.

“No one does,” she whined, bouncing on the balls of her feet while staring at the flickering flame of the candle. The thing was more than 20 pages long. It was like reading one of those software agreements. No one read the damn thing. She’d read the instructions and the first page with all the warnings and that was more than enough. Taking a deep breath, she managed to settle her nerves a little. Everyone thought she was the ditsy blonde obsessed with the occult, but she wasn’t. She was a hard worker, impatient when things didn’t go as expected. It was partially the reason why she’d filed through so many relationships. Why stay with a guy when he clearly had nothing to offer? Some of her friends argued that she didn’t give them a chance. She begged to differ. She’d given them a chance, they just hadn’t taken it.

True, her impatience sometimes got her into some trouble but it also saved her from a lot of it. That, however, wasn’t the case now. Annoyed that the spell had gone awry, she brushed back her bangs impatiently. Whatever had happened was not important. The priority was getting Hannah back home. Scanning the room for her discarded laptop, she did a double take.

Obstructing the exit to the living room stood the most gorgeous man she had laid eyes on. He was massive. His head almost brushed the top of the doorframe. His heavily muscled arms were crossed in front of him, his chest bare except for the intricate design of a red-inked tattoo that started around his left nipple and descended across his side to his hip. Low on his hips, he wore a long black skirt made out of what looked like leather.

Hailey hesitated a moment before finally glancing fully at his face. Her breath stilled as their eyes locked. A clear shade of violet, they were not from this world. Swallowing, she took a step backwards without breaking her stare. The stranger’s eyes glittered with curiosity and amusement.

“Careful with the center of the star,” he warned.

Hailey stumbled and froze. His voice was deep and commanding and had a familiar ring to it that sent her senses reeling. Shaking her head slightly, she continued moving away from him.

“Watch—”

Breath exploded from her lungs as she crashed into a shelf, a few ornaments she and Hannah kept, crashing to the floor.

“—out. Are you all right?”

Hailey winced, the back of the shelf digging into her skin, but she nodded anyway. The stranger flashed her a grin that made her knees weak. Hailey swallowed. The urge to see him smile again clawed at her insides like a desperate hunger.

Ignoring her, he glanced down at the pentagram, his silky dark curls framing his strong jaw and straight nose.

“You don’t look like you knew what you were getting into.”

Hailey held on to the bookcase behind her. She was afraid that if she moved the whole thing would topple over her head and she’d wake up, realizing that the man in the center of the room was nothing more than a dream.

“Read the first page of the instructions and didn’t bother to read the rest, huh?”

His eyes lifted to hers with a sassy smirk that lit up his violet eyes. Hailey stared speechless, the urge to touch the man making her palms itch as if she’d stepped into poison ivy.

“Yeah, you never did care what you got into, Ariadne.”

Goose bumps sprouted over her flesh and she released the shelf, rubbing her arms in an attempt to warm her suddenly chilled skin. Ariadne. The name rang in her ears like a long forgotten memory always running at the edge of her vision, just a breadth away from her grasp.

“I—”

No words came out as he carefully watched her face, almost as if saving every detail of her features into his memory. Her mouth felt parched, her tongue too large, as she searched for words that wouldn’t come.

“Yes?”

Butterflies danced in the pit of her stomach and her chest tightened, making it difficult to breathe. Fear mingled with a strange sense of joy. Names, places, and moments in time danced in the edge of her vision, taunting her to remember them, taunting her to say them aloud but fleeing before she could take hold of them.

“My name isn’t…”

The man raised his dark eyebrows, the shadow of a smile lifting the edge of his full lips.

“I know.”

“Oh.”

Defined as weird since she was about eight, Elyzabeth honors the title by making up songs about her chores, doodling stars and flowers on any blank sheet of paper and talking to her dog whenever he feigns interest.

Losing the battle to the voices in her head is her favorite pastime after annoying her younger sister with her singing. Writing stories full of passion and emotion where love conquers all is her happy pill and she’ll forgo sleep to make her readers live the dream.
