LAST WEEK: Janna asked Simon for a fresh start. When he didn’t respond, Janna turned to leave his office. Simon stopped her by stepping in behind her and pressing the door closed. THIS WEEK: I’ve skipped nothing. 🙂
Her hips swirled over him, and he pressed her against the door. A moan escaped her, and then he was gone. She remained plastered against the door, afraid to move, not wanting to admit the moment was over. She peered over her shoulder and found him pacing the back corner of his office.
He couldn’t have gotten any further away.
“Do I need to apologize again?” She slowly turned around to face him and pressed her body into the door. A part of her wished the door would swallow her whole.

I liked his reluctance when he found out he’d be working with her. Of course, his reluctance didn’t last long. LOL. I liked the way she went after what she wanted out of life. Good book SJ.

I like the contrast between her seeming to know what she wants and his conflict. Makes for some delicious tension.
This is pretty steamy, although I admit, it took me a moment to visualize. At first I pictured her facing him and became confused over her looking at him from over the shoulder. Then, after a lot of thought, things made sense. I love the idea of wanting the door to swallow her–very descriptive.
