Welcome friends old and new. I’m glad you came. Today, I’m sharing from my second release, UNTANGLE ME.
Ivy is a young event planner and she’s completely smitten with her newest client, the ultra successful businessman, Seth. However, Seth is not the type of guy Ivy wants in her life. LAST WEEK: Seth’s possessiveness showed up. THIS WEEK: I’ve skipped past a sweet conversation between Seth and Ivy as they started their lunch. All is going well until Ivy’s trainer from the BDSM club decides to text her with an impromptu quiz. We’re still in Seth’s POV.
Her phone buzzed again. Not wanting anything interrupting their moment, he grasped her hand as it landed on the phone. Their eyes locked until the phone lit and the message appeared.
“Name one rule of submissive pose?”
“Are you—?”
“Oh, my.” She pulled her hand and phone from his grip. Once she turned off the screen on her phone, she threw it in her bag.
You better believe the rest of this conversation holds all kinds of fun and revelations. Come back next Sunday for another snippet or find the buy links below and read it today. Their connection is definitely real, but it may be a bit tangled. <~ You can <tweet that> if you want.

BLURB:
Ivy’s revenge on the people behind her family’s downward spiral is simple and it’s working. There’s no need to long for help from the wealthy business owners who turned their backs on her father. Ivy may be worn
out, but she’s finding herself again after joining the local BDSM club.
Seth has it all. He has homes around the world and the little red speedster he dreamed of as a little boy, but none of the things he can buy satisfy him, not the socialites hanging on his arm or the submissives falling at his feet. Then, he hires Ivy to plan his next event.
Seth and Ivy enjoy each other’s company in and out of the planning stages for Seth’s charity event. Their playful bets lead them to a first date. When their secret kinks are revealed, the pair fall deep, but it’s not meant to last. Past hurts come back to haunt Ivy. Now, it’s time for Seth to use all he’s learned, regardless if he can win back the girl.

Oh no, embarrassing! Loving this story!
Most definitely embarrassed. A lot rides on what they both do next. Characters are so much fun. 🙂
Maybe she shouldn’t have looked at the text during what sounds like an important (for her) meeting.
Thought provoking snippett!
It was to be just a casual lunch and Ivy’s one of those small business owners that likes to keep her phone handy. She’s learning the hard way the error in her ways, but sometimes it’s good to get secrets out in the open.
One of those days you wish you’d followed the ‘phones off during meals’ rule! Still, if it leads to some fun with Seth…maybe it was worth the risk!
Lol! So true, but this is the guy she’s decided not to pursue, right?
I bet a really interesting discussion follows that one:D
Most definitely, Eleri. 🙂
Awkward timing for THAT message to come thru but maybe it will get them to talking about some things they might never have gotten around to. Excellent excerpt!
You’ve got it, Veronica. Sometimes those awkward moments are worth it. Thank you. 🙂
Ooops–maybe she shouldn’t have looked at the text…can’t wait to see what happens
I’m certain she wished neither of them had seen the text. She’ll try and play it that way until he says something and you just know he’ll say something. 😉
Can’t wait to read more of this conversation… And that perhaps explains the “sir” in last week’s snippet?
I love a really good awkward moment. LOL. Great snippet!
I probably shouldn’t be laughing, but that’s so awkward I just can’t help it. Well done! Can’t wait to see what happens next.
Oh, my—I just burst out laughing and had to make up something to tell my six year old. This is just perfect ! Embarrassing for her—Christmas for him! 😀
rofl. I wonder what her client is going to do next. I bet it’s not what she expects!
Embarrassing? Yep, but it might be a good thing in the long run.
Oh wow, things just took a very interesting turn!
Whoops. There’s all kinds of people you wouldn’t want to read a message like that… A good reason to not have your texts display on your phone, or keep your phone turned off during meetings, etc.
Even if he wasn’t before, I am sure he is interested now, lol. And I think he will surprise her a bit.
Not exactly the best timing on the part of the trainer.
