This tease comes from the middle of the story. Kate and her roommates are having a party. She says she doesn’t care if Mark shows but that’s not completely true. 🙂 Enjoy!

Hours later, Kate slipped into their family room. Instant relief flooded her when she didn’t find the hot coffee Dom anywhere. She pressed her lips tight together as a little ache inside had her wishing he’d show.

The night had grown into an absolute pleasure. Many of their friends from the club came. Even a few co-workers and several of her favorite customers came.

Several silly conversations were taking place about the comparison of eating one of her cupcakes and achieving orgasm. She was rolling with so much laughter that she figured her stomach muscles would be sore tomorrow. They’d even started a poll for naming the cakes she’d make when she had a bakery of her own.

A knock at the door cut through the laughter. Kate made her way to the back of the room. Her nerves had ramped up each time a friend arrived.

“Mark! I was hoping you’d make it.” Sam crossed the room and barrel-hugged him.

“Sorry I’m late. I went to the club first.” He caught Kate’s gaze from across the room. The man looked more delicious than she remembered. His V-neck shirt hugged his upper body in a way that made her envious.

“Well, you’re here now, buddy. Come on in. Kate has a spread for us. You can take your pick.”
