Let the parties begin. Tis the season, right? By the end of this week, I’ll have attended four holiday parties already. I think we’re trying to set a new record for the number of parties we attend at the holidays, lol. My mom just informed me, we need to attend another party on the day after Christmas. It already seems like the holiday that won’t end. Now, I think it’s truth.
Well, The decorations are finally all up at our house and it all looks beautiful. The charm of the holiday sure does help put me in the spirit. Something has got to. It seems this year, I’d rather be editing then doing something festive. Editing. Yes, you read that right. 🙂
I tried a new recipe for the party we attended Friday night. You might have seen it on Pinterest. Click the image here to see the recipe at Eclectic Recipes.
I made a few changes. I made my pizza dough from my normal Betty Crocker recipe and that worked fine. I used Olive Oil, just basil, and garlic salt to finish them. So, good.
This recipe is definitely a keeper. Have you come across any new recipes or tips this year?
The Goals – week-10 results
- Spend at least 1-hour a day with my characters- done. 🙂
- Daily progress in writing craft, word count, editing, and/or plotting- half done. I finally got back to editing this week, but not daily. I had wanted to finish editing two projects this month. Now, I’m just focusing on one. Something had to give.
- Take care of and be kind to myself- half done. The stress of the season is definitely draining me. I have so much to do this week that I’m kind of going numb. Ugh! I sure had fun on my blog this week though and that fills my bucket.

What am I think? I’m thinking I’m going to make that Christmas Tree Pull Apart. Looks yummy! I hear ya on the parties and the editing. I’m taking a two weeks off work to edit at home! 🙂
It is yummy. I forgot to mention that you really need to make sure you roll them well once they’re stuffed. Get all those seams rolled away.
Two weeks, that sounds so lovely. I’m definitely looking forward to your return. 😀
Thanks for the tip, and for the rest. I’m looking forward to it as well. Just needing a break at the moment!
“Something had to give” – I think those are the key words during December! I’ve gone to two holiday parties so far, and only one required me to bring something. I went easy: I made Pillsbury crescent rolls, and filled them with ham salad and chicken salad from the deli – and my friends gobbled them up! I skipped the gift exchange, and was fine with that. I think there’ll be only one more party, and it’s during work. I’m taking a bottle of my DH’s homemade moonshine, which was a big hit there last year. I’m all about taking it easy during the holidays! You do the same, and hope yours are great!
I should mention that the moonshine was for the gift exchange, LOL! Wasn’t consumed at the office, though there were many requests for it to be opened!
Ha! Thanks for the clarification, lol. If I can make it through this week, I think I’ll be okay. Fingers crossed. 😀
