Welcome friends new and old. I’m going to give you a couple more posts from the WIP I’ve been sharing before I move onto something new.
In the Blind (working title), and you can see the past posts from this WIP here. The Logline: When a head hunter finds her dream lover in a night of pitch black unrestrained passion, she fears she’ll never find him again. Fate steps in and throws the two together, but they might never discover the truth and stay in the blind.
Over the past few weeks I’ve shared Jane’s experience at Club Blind and her business opportunity that put her back in touch with Rob. Last Post Jane presented Rob with the job description for Keller’s company. He’s impressed until he learns where he’d be working. In this week’s post, I’ve skipped just a little to put us back in Rob’s POV, but Jane and Rob are still in the coffee shop. Gina is Rob’s ex-wife and she works for Keller.
Jane pulled her hand away and he let her go. The loss of her touch felt more present than the horror he once thought of ever working with Gina again. If he was honest with himself, he’d admit his apprehension had nothing to do with Gina. Nope, she was just a reminder of a commitment he let sour.
“I’m sorry to have upset you.” Her hand lay on the table just out of his reach.
He shouldn’t let his failed marriage ruin another relationship, or in this case, a career opportunity. He hadn’t even asked Jane out, yet.
They’re going to figure this out, right? Only I (and my CP) know the answer to that question. 🙂 If Rob’s not careful, Jane will drift away until she’s out of reach. <If you want, you can Tweet That> Come back next week and I’ll give you another clue.
Hope you enjoyed my eight today. Thank you so much for visiting me, it means a lot to me that you took the time to visit my little place on the web. Don’t forget to check out the other Weekend Warriors, and Saturday Spankings too.
Like the drama and conflict you’ve created for your characters.
A tangled plot, like real life and so very intriguing! Excellent excerpt!
Makes me want to know! Good peek!
Yikes, that sounds complicated. Great setup:)
Interesting snippet this week. I am definitely into this book!
love love love. Lots of wonderful conflict between these two. Of course they’ll figure it out in the end, but the fun is in watching them try. 😉 Terrific snippet!
Loving the dilemma facing Rob and the situation they’ve all found themselves in. Great snippet!
Regret and fear of failure are two powerful motivators. Rob has a lot to overcome. Great snippet!
Lots of conflict driving Rob and his conflict comes through loud and clear. Well done!
I sure hope they are going to figure it out!

My 8
He better get it in gear before everything he wants walks out the door. Great snippet, SJ. 🙂
Hmmm… he’d better watch himself. Can’t wait for more.
Things are getting complicated.
Ouch, that’s a rough one for him. Great snippet! Tweeted.
Interesting conflict here, and I love that last word ‘yet’.
Interesting. His past marriage has made him cautious, but there’s still hope for a future relationship it seems. The ‘yet’ implies he’s thinking about asking her out. 🙂
Guy’s going to need to step up and take a chance. Great snippet, SJ!
This makes me want to know! I hope you post another clue so I can figure it out.
He’s got some definite baggage there to work through. Hopefully Jane will help him. 🙂
Oooh…I see now why he balked at the job. Can I bop him upside the head? LOL
I thought I replied already but maybe it didn’t off my iPad right. So you may see a double comment.
Anyway, I like seeing the romance from the male perspective. I find it refreshing. Nice snippet, S. J.!
Interesting snippet. Need to know more.
Thanks to everyone who found the time to stop by. You guys are awesome. 🙂
Sorry I’m late! I’m glad I didn’t miss that snippet. And I LOVE that “click to tweet” thing you’ve got! That’s awesome.
Oh yeah. I love it when you stop by. Thank you! 😀
Click to tweet is pretty fun and so easy.
I like the depth of his character we see here.

The Fae This is my fun side project I’m working on. I haven’t had a chance to work on it at all in the last week, but I’m hoping to get back into it. Verte and Grey have appeared in Flasher Fiction Friday a few times and Saturdays AfterDark at least once. I’m going to tease you from this one as it has the most recent writing. Bear in mind, this is a first draft.
