Flash Fiction #18

Thanks for stopping. Another picture…another 100 words.

Jeremy clung to her leg with unnecessary force. The last dress rehearsal went better than expected with their emotions running on high.

Could she forgive him?

Cheating on her with some girl from the chorus was bad enough, but to tell her the morning before they had to perform together for two weeks was unforgivable.

He risked her career, unacceptable.

She wanted to believe the threat to her performance drove her ire, but the tick in her heart forced her to face the lie. She trusted him, her first mistake. No longer would she rent her heart out for free.

Hope you enjoyed my flash today!!
