Flash Fiction #5

Thanks for stopping by for my 100.

Through the crowed market she watched Jamison make his move. This time he thankfully had his brother with him. Desperation to uncover their assignment drove her. Once her hands were over her eyes she lost sight of them, but her eyes began amplifying her hearing.

“Why are we setting the device at Miller’s creek?”

“It will cause the required commotion without hurting her family.”

She forced her hands to remain still.

“She’s never going to forgive you, you know that, right?”

“I know, but I will always protect her and what she loves.”

Tears leaked from her eyes. “Oh Jamison.”

Hope you enjoyed my flash today!! Don’t forget to follow the link to get to the other FFF posts. Flasher Fiction Friday.

  1. I’m also with Kendel and Muffy. WTF just happened? Why was she crying and why wouldn’t she forgive her? What a cliffhanger.

  2. Thanks guys! 😀 my mind flew away with a story here. Someday I hope to be able to write it all down. I love stories with lovers on opposite sides of a struggle. Our pretty lady here thought she had him pegged, but maybe not…

  3. Ok, I’ve read this post three times and I fall into the WTF is going on category along with a lot of the other commenters. To say that I am intrigued is an understatement. What is the device and who’s family? Wow, I have been totally sucked in, this is a FFF post that demands a follow-up. Thanks SJ.

    • yeap, I’ve been thinking more about this story all day. Not sure if I want to do a short story or just add it to my WIP list 🙂
The only thing I know for sure is this little scene. I can see the emotions of the 3-characters in this moment (think cold war-the lady in the picture is on one side of the war, her one-time lover, Jamison, and his brother are on the other side), but that is it for now…well until I day dream some more

  5. I love when a Flash leaves me wanting more…this one does. I hope you do write more about it, I am very intrigued now. 🙂
