Through the crowed market she watched Jamison make his move. This time he thankfully had his brother with him. Desperation to uncover their assignment drove her. Once her hands were over her eyes she lost sight of them, but her eyes began amplifying her hearing.
“Why are we setting the device at Miller’s creek?”
“It will cause the required commotion without hurting her family.”
She forced her hands to remain still.
“She’s never going to forgive you, you know that, right?”
“I know, but I will always protect her and what she loves.”
Tears leaked from her eyes. “Oh Jamison.”

Ok, I’ve read this post three times and I fall into the WTF is going on category along with a lot of the other commenters. To say that I am intrigued is an understatement. What is the device and who’s family? Wow, I have been totally sucked in, this is a FFF post that demands a follow-up. Thanks SJ.
yeap, I’ve been thinking more about this story all day. Not sure if I want to do a short story or just add it to my WIP list 🙂
The only thing I know for sure is this little scene. I can see the emotions of the 3-characters in this moment (think cold war-the lady in the picture is on one side of the war, her one-time lover, Jamison, and his brother are on the other side), but that is it for now…well until I day dream some more
I love how you amplified her sense of hearing when she removed her sense of vision. It’s true how much more our senses compensate when one is deprived. Great FFF
