Six Sentence Sunday #1

I’m jumping in with both feet into the #SixSunday fun.  Sure I’ve hesitated now for a few weeks, but no more.  The six sentences below are from my current and 1st WIP I’m All Yours.  Sam has come to her good friend for advice after firmly committing to learning about her own needs.

I look her in the eyes, I know she cares and will listen but I’m still nervous to start this conversation.

“I don’t think I can do that, it’s just too embarrassing,” I whisper as I swirl my finger in the condensation on my glass.

“Nothing doing, you know I’m open minded, no judgment here.  Sam, look at me.” I look right at her, again.

“That’s better, I just want to help you, it’s obvious you want to talk to me about something, so go on, spill it.”

Please let me know what you think and come back next Sunday for six more sentences in Sam’s journey.  Thank you to everyone over at http://sixsunday.com, if you have not yet checked out their site, go now, you just might find a new author to follow.

    • Hello Stephanie and thank you!! It’s my first six but it wont be my last. I’m having a blast checking out all the posts and it’s so much fun having folks visit my site!!! Happy Sunday to you

    • Thank you so much!! I’m so glad you can sense their bond. Sam some how instictively knew too, it’s the first in a line of brave and smart moves on her part. I made her up, but I’m so proud of her 🙂

  3. I’m definitely hooked, SJ and can’t wait for more. Welcome to six sunday fun. Great debut…Your reply about Sam not knowing how good a friend she has is intriguing as is the entire excerpt.
