It’s release day! 😀 I’m over the moon excited to share this story with you. It’s my 12th release. Wow. How did that happen? ❤

This time around I’m sharing Aidan’s story. He’s a secretive fella and, until this very moment, he wasn’t ready to meet his one and only. Many times he could have met Elizabeth Martin, but now is the right time, when she and her friends are stumbling out of a taxi and he’s just bought the contract on her life. Oh boy!

My own story of love follows a similar trajectory. Well, not all the killing and suspense. Lol. I met my husband during my senior year of college. But, we grew up 20 minutes from each other. Our parents knew the same people. We went to the same university during the same time, even studied in the same college. But it was never the right time.

I sincerely believe, if I’d met him at any other time, it wouldn’t have turned out the same. Things happen in a certain order. I used to wish I’d met him sooner, but after 16 years of marriage and having our two beautiful boys, I see things happened exactly as they should have.

He ran upstairs and kept moving until he reached his door. Respect for Elizabeth filled him. She’d faced a lot in the last year and she still held her shit together. Little did she know she was trading a husband who probably abandoned her, or worse, for a night with an assassin.

He wouldn’t delude himself into thinking he was good enough for her. There was no way to know how this was all going to play out, but first things first. The woman deserved pleasure and he had no problem taking her there as many times as he could while he figured it out.

He pressed his ear to his door and listened while his heartbeat calmed.

Silence.

Too much silence.

Reaching out I touched her chin, tilting her head back. Her eyes were pale green and wide, shining up at me.
