“It’s our treat.” Mark sauntered around the counter and took the sealed box from Kate. He handed it to the woman and walked her to the door, wished her a good afternoon, then locked the door behind her. “Your pants better be off by the time I get back there.”

“Or what?” She turned off the lights in the dining areas and tugged at her button and zipper. The inappropriateness tipped the scales and shot her from want to full-fledged need. She pulled her panties off with her jeans.

“A part of me wants to show you, but mostly, I just want to get inside you.” He walked around the counter and she threw her clothing at him.

“Can I keep my apron on?” she yanked at her shirt then pulled it over her head and made quick work of her bra. The straps of her apron rubbed over her nipples, building the ache.

“I like this look on you.” He fingered the strap. “I lied, too.”

“What?”

“Your baking is superb.” He took her hand and led her to the back of her baking counter. “Stay right here.”
