She pressed her palms to his hard chest and then took a firm grip of his shirt as she steadied herself. Her focus settled on the color of the fabric. That same dreamy deep ocean color she’d been admiring earlier. A tremble ran through her. When she raised her gaze, she locked on a pair of sparkling baby blues. She held her breath, wishing time to stop, as she flexed her fingers over his firm chest.

“Hi. I didn’t see you there.” He held her tight. Maybe, just maybe, he was holding them together.

“Sorry.” She licked her bottom lip. Gosh, he is gorgeous.

“I’m not.” He swiped his knuckles across her cheek bone. “You’re beautiful.”

“Thank you.” She shook her head. “Where did you come from?”

“The other side of the room.” He pulled her closer and clutched her hips. “It’s my first time here.”

“You’re not a member?” She ran her touch over his firm chest muscles.

“Not yet, but that’s the plan. I had my interview with Logan this afternoon.” The husky tones in his voice made her toes tingle.

“I see.” Master Logan must approve of him if he’d let him come to the club tonight. A new song filled the room, slower than the others. She shifted her weight back and forth, contemplating walking away from him, but she couldn’t place a single reason why she should.

“You caught my eye the minute you stepped into the club.”

“Why didn’t you come over and say hi?” She gazed down at her hands.

“You were with your friends and I wanted to observe you.”

A shiver of awareness fluttered from the tips of her breasts to the heat building in her pussy. “That’s such a Dom thing to say.” She looked at him through her eyelashes.

“Is that a bad thing?” He raised his eyebrows.
